1 from 30 reports in Lincs were found to have drugs involved

Sore point with me.

Wife was spike a few years ago.

2wkd in one pub, 10mins later in another drunk as a skunk.

Spent all night forcing water down her. That happened on a Sat, she passed out in the play ground on mon and tues.
Completely wioed her out.

Pub owner who i know, just said 'it happens'

They don't care in there who is underage or gets spiked.

whilst I've not worked the doors for a good few years, its not something I came across often.

We conducted various random searches of people coming out of the toilets, and whilst we often found coke and pills, never once found a bottle of GHB or anything spike related.

Not to say it never happens, just never seemed to catch anyone or find any evidence of it.

The ones I heard about locally appear to have been late teens gone mad with 16 vodkas or whatever and passed out, then ended up in hospital.
To explain to mum and dad the little scratch on their leg wasn't anything to do with rolling about in the street or club floor but an undetectable drug administered without them noticing.
If only this were an almost believable tale when I was 18

Wouldn’t a victim have to be injected, not just quickly stabbed with a needle, and wouldn’t an injection be impossible to do unseen? Even EpiPens need to be held in position for several seconds.

I've worked the doors in Manchester and the surrounding for circa15 years. I don't for a second doubt it happens but I've yet to come across anyone actually spiking people as opposed to coming across a lot of pissed up people claiming to have been spiked, especially the day after when the old regret/booze blues kicks in.

Someone once spiked my drink with amphetamine in the Cat House in Glasgow in the early 2000's. I was wired to the fucking moon after having drunk 8 pints of 80'/. Took me a while to twig what was going on.

I know exactly who it was (not someone I know but whos heavily embroidered leather waistcoat identified him as someone to make polite conversation to when he talked to me then move right along). Presumably he thought it would be entertaining... He was probably right.
