Very sorry to hear it happened to you mate and thank fuck there were no serious injuries.

Can't help it, when you said you slid for half a fucking kilometre I just thought of Sol Campbell's never ending slide tackle Laughing

I don't think there's any reason why your ex couldn't take out her own policy on your life? So if you haven't been ordered to do this by the courts, can't you just tell her to do it herself if she wants this? (and you could point out what you've just stated above, too)

If someone's nice, can spell, is polite and reasonable, there's always some bum who thinks they're fair game to annoy and belittle. But only from the safety of their computer screens. That annoys me.

Welcome to BCF. If that shit irks you then find a new forum. The formula has worked nicely here for about two decades as far as I can tell.

If you want warm fluffy and reasonable then mumsnet is probably a better place for you.

The money engine light came back on on the shit box, not really a surprise. I have an auxiliary water pump on order.

Well if you will insist that the only way forward is to hand everything to computers and have.our lives run by algorithms you've got to expect some pushback.

The previously mentioned speed camera sent me a letter inviting me to confirm it was me that was driving at 36mph in Woburn ar 2330hrs. I'm sure that I read somewhere that politicians get their wives to say they were driving so they can stay squeeky clean.

Where's wifey.........

That doesn't work.

I can be a huge asshole. For me, being nice is a choice. If you irk someone they can irk you back...

Oh abusive rating? *chuckles* I've plenty of spare karma. So you feel free to have at that.

What you mean is that it doesn't work for you. Yet it clearly works for everyone else.

Can you see where the problem is yet?

I think so.

You passed mod 1 and mod 2 in 2014. You model your behaviour on the "elders" of the forum. Am I right?

I'm just trying to figure out on which date you became so tough...

Or how about: on which date did you become "everyone else", and when did you decide I was not "everyone else"?

It's called the Hamilton defence, look it up.

Ya'all be very careful, if you not very clever then using it might just dig you a much bigger hole.

& I don't think you all that clever.

Back when I was an ADI I picked up a new female Indian pupil. she had 6 points on her licence (had never driven) her mother had 12 points, her grandmother had 12 points and an aunt had 12 points. Her brother had only 3 points and was the only driver in the family.

Having spent ages putting my years work rota into google calendar, it appears there is absolutely no facility to print, populate or even view a year planner.

I wanted to print one out so I can see the year at a glance and try to work out some semblance of WTF is going on, find gaps in the rota for planning holidays, write swaps on it etc.

This seems like something of an oversight.

Looks like I totally wasted my time and it's back to a big sheet of paper and different coloured highlighters again. Rolling Eyes

Don't be too quick to write it off... I wouldn't be at all surprised if there's a way. There are lots of third-party 'add-ons' to Google Calendar, one of which may well do what you want; failing that you can export the data in a generic calendar format and I expect there will be something out there which will handle this

Yeah, you'd think that. Only one I can find involves registering for a free 14 day trial on a premium app. This isn't something I'm prepared to pay for.

Their API is pretty open, you could potentially force it to extract them all into a way you see fit and print it.

https://developers.google.com/calendar/api/v3/reference

Pretty handy, I write all of mine to a basic webpage which shows that accounts calendar in 3 week chunks, purely as my locked down devices aren't allowed Google logins.. Laughing

Could probably build something quick and nasty if you need a specific type.
