Not sure if anyone will be able to help me with this one. It's a bit obscure and sort of pointless:

I will often make (approx) 60 minute playlists on YouTube - e.g. a best of 2020, or similar. Next, I may well use an online YouTube to MP3 converter to convert the video/audio files into an audio-only MP3 file. Once done, I download them and create a playlist in iTunes on my laptop, and pop the files in there. And there it is: My YouTube playlist as individual mp3 files in iTunes.

Because I run older vehicles, I only have CD players. Not a problem, as such. I simply burn my playlist to a CDR and play that in the car.

However, one or two vehicles have a script function where it will display the track and artist name. However, they don't seem to be speaking to the CDRs and vice versa. Despite the fact that I've manually entered the relevant info into my iTunes playlist.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong. In the past I've seemed to be able to get it working, but since then iTunes has updated umpteen times.

Anyone got a clue on this? My kids will often say what's this one called?? And I'll spend the next 5 minutes fishing around for the hardcopy track listing blowing around under my seat or in the glove compartment etc.

I don't have anything to do with itoons so cant help you there
but I do use 4K video downloader which is free

https://www.4kdownload.com/products/videodownloader/8

Apart from downloading YT vids it will allow you to extract and grab
the audio tracks from say a music video in mp3 format

There are various tag editors to make modify and delete mp3 meta data about
I've used this one at times
https://www.mp3tag.de/en/

As WD Forte says you need to edit the tag data, from memory cars normally prefer Id3 v1 whereas iTunes is probably v2.3 or higher.

Just get a Bluetooth FM transmitter for about £10, and run your playlists directly from your phone. No more arsing about burning CDs.

Exactly the same as what I ended up doing, worked perfectly.

Or if you're a Crapple fan, it's built into Siri (just ask what song is playing)

i don't actually have a smart phone tbh

i do kind of "need" one though, but a £15 burner has more appeal somehow

I dumped CDs years ago after ripping them all to mp3
they just seemed to be lot of faffing about to me.
I could store way more files in a fraction of the space on a phone, tablet or computer

I dumped my old Galaxys original tape player and have a
Sony dsx-a410bt car stereo in there now.
Apart from a USB port it also has an aux port so I could plug in devices with a headphone socket and play Mp3s from them
It has Bluetooth to make hands free calls on the move as well play mp3s from my phone or tablet if no usb stick is inserted

I see them on Ebay pretty cheap now
I'm not touting the Sony just suggesting a simpler method
Ripping audio CD's to mp3 may seem a bit of a chore
but it's a lot quicker then ripping video.

Its mp3 tag you need.

I used to use this years ago for something sort of simmilar.

https://www.mp3tag.de/en/

You can edit any of the metadata of your mp3s.
