Hi need some advice.

The left exhaust on my 1997 Honda CA125 Rebel sounds like it has something loose in the silencer. There is no degradation in engine performance but at high revs get some noise from this side.

Given the exhaust is all one unit should I replace it? Also can I just replace one side? Finally what torque should the nuts be which bolt the exhaust to the cylinder block? Any advice greatly appreciated. Very Happy

Here are a couple of links that should answer most of your questions. Looks like 7 lb/ft torque on the exhaust header nuts. Also some suggestions on options for replacing exhaust.

If I were you, I'd join the Honda Rebel forum to seek advice from riders who are familiar with the CA125, and who may have already encountered issues like yours. Wink
