The lift is still out at work and my current office is on the third floor
I'm too old and fat to go up three flights with a laptop bag and half a dozen books ten times a day, fuck that - I booked myself into a spare office on the first floor. ____________________ Not nearly as interesting in real life. |

Had a long weekend off with the full intention of doing the last few shed jobs but felt like crap the whole time and
spent most of the weekend asleep either in bed or on the sofa. Yesterday my eyes puffed up like crazy accompanied
with a dull headache. Only time this happened before was last year when it was eventually discovered to be my first
covid symptom (although I put it down to a food allergy at first.) Took a covid test and bada bing.... Positive. Fack. ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha

My lack of ability to use a simple diary. I have two holidays to look forward to this summer - a trip to Turkey with the family and a gentleman's motorcycle tour of Scotland. What have I done? Cocked up so they overlap. The gentlemen set off to Scotland on a Saturday, and I don't get back from Turkey until the Monday. I am borrowing a mate's bike to do this tour, so I will have to drive up to the borders on the Monday, stay over at my mate's house then catch the lads up on Tuesday. This will involve a 300 mile day on a Triumph Street Scrambler, a bike that isn't exactly upholstered for large miles.
If anybody is on the A9 at the end of June and you happen to see a bloke stood next to an olive green 'Steve Mcqueen', crying whilst trying to force veins back up his back package, have a heart and don't mock too loudly! ____________________ Now - Speed Triple, old ratty GS550, GSXR750M

If you really are baulking at the saddle time and can spare the rental money, some van hires permit a different drop off to pickup, so you could pick up near to your mate's, drive in relative comfort with the bike in the back, ditch the van somewhere as far north as you need to go and ride from there? Or buy a gel seat and stick it on the bike for your ride, along with a repeat subscription for haemorrhoid cream. ____________________ TG. |

Might even document it here if I can be arsed. |
Covid or no Covid I put my final EUFY CCTV camera/spotlight up yesterday. No harder than fitting an outside light
to install, Drilled one hole into the house from outside for a power supply and two for the rawlplugs to hold the thing
on the wall, then simply connection of 3 wires and done. First, I powered it up indoors with a 3 pin plug for ease of
setup/registration so all it needed was banging on the wall and powering up to a 240 supply plus half a dozen cable clips.
Features include,
Human only detection so the neighbours cat won't set it off. Infra red night vision, remotely triggerable alarm,
programmable detection zones so movement next door either side won't be sending me unnecessary alerts nor
recording their activities if they are outside enjoying their gardens, . Besides, with a two way talk feature with a
mega sensitive mic, I can drop into the camera from anywhere and eavesdrop on the neighbours garden chats LOL,
no monthly fee, secure storage, lights can be controlled independently of the camera too.Worth the £120 price tag IMO.
Amusingly the copper who lives next door has been a little vocal about me fitting cameras, she said "I don't want to be recorded..."
my reply of "Since I can't rely on Police to come when needed, I will do my best to protect my own property and make it
unappealing to thieves." didn't go down well.
Hasn't spoken to me since except last night when she passively aggressively pointed out the spotlights
"Are a bit bright...." to which I replied that was "kind of the point..." and it was, I chose one with a powerful set
of lamps on purpose. I sense an imminent confrontation. ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha

Fine advice. Thinking about the practicality however, I'm not sure I'd want to get my mate's bike out of a van by myself, as we operate a strict 'you bin it, you've bought it' deal. I can see myself strapping a cushion to the seat however, plus plenty of Prep H... ____________________ Now - Speed Triple, old ratty GS550, GSXR750M

It is an age thing for sure, as when I was a nipper I'd think nothing of doing a 200 mile trip on my AP50. Then again, I was 40 years younger, 4 stone lighter and thought I was indestructible. ____________________ Now - Speed Triple, old ratty GS550, GSXR750M

Meh, CCTV. Our induatrial estate was hit the other night. They paid a wee scrote in a balaclava to walk round the industrial estate with a paintbrush on a stick and paint over all the CCTV cameras. Then they came in with a wagon and nicked two tractors and a skid-steer from the agricultural merchants.
All the premesis have fantastic footage of a wee scrote in a balaclava wandering round with a paintbrush on a stick. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
