A couple of weeks ago I finally passed my equivalent of MOD1 for these parts at the first time of asking. I felt great, of course, as I was now about to do the road section of the process with the certainty that I'd pass the final exam pretty quickly. I've been driving a car for over 30 years and I ride a 125 about the place. All I need, I think, is just getting used to what an examiner is looking at again.
I was really excited about getting the bigger bike in time for the summer, which was the plan in the first place. (well, I actually hoped for the spring as I had no idea this would take this long)

BUT... oh no! oh shit!!

The school bursts my bubble and promptlyinforms me that there is a 4 month waiting list for test dates!! And that sucks big time.

Are you guys facing a similar situation in the UK? I get the impression things tend to move a bit quicker over there.

I think that part of the issue here is that the Covid backlog is taking time to clear, and also that the current city council is taking broad measures to reduce car use in the metropolitan areas, so a lot of people seem to be switching to bikes.

I was about to say "probably not so bad here" but I thought I'd just see what would happen if I went to book a test...

Feck! There's a queuing system just to get to the webpage so yeah, pretty bad Sad

Round the city your 125 will be enough but not much fun for longer runs. It will be covid backlog as much as anything, can't do much about it.
Four months will soon go, at least you have better riding conditions than here later in the year.

An update, because I'm sure you've all been losing sleep over it.
Yesterday I bloody well went and passed my A2 test!! Finally...

I probably rode worse than I have in any of my classes, but I was fortunate enough to have a very human examiner and that my intstructor argued my case for me. So it was a borderline pass.... but a pass is a pass.

Bigger bike... here I come
