whats caused the quality issue with Dunlop tyres?

^^^That's the big question that even if Dunlop gave the answer many wouldn't believe them.

They said there was a fault in a batch of the tyres for the big bikes.

Now... was that fault solely due to the actual manufacturing or was it like what we've seen with Michelin and a tyre that wasn't up to the job for those conditions.

Track temp was +30 C. The bikes putting out +220bhp doing +205mph.
What were the recommended tyre pressures and were the teams following instructions.

Gutting for all those involved.

Great racing but that is gonna damage Dunlop. Glad no one got hurt, 200mph+, you can do without it.

Dunlop also need to get their act together in short order, ready for the TT, as god forbit what might happen there if the same were to happen

But, other than that, some good racing, and great to see Richard Cooper up at the sharp end
