I was too exhausted to post yesterday, but this was because I spent ALL of Sunday (from 8am - gone 11 pm) being a waitress in a music video,
I got to meet Paul McGann as well, who was a surprise extra Cool
Nice bloke, smaller than you expect him to be Laughing

I used to work with his ex wife in a scrap yard her dad Reg owned when she was a teenager.

She was obviously going to be theatrical even then. I remember her uncle making her cry one day by saying she was dressed like Cinderella.

Added the Spacker to my cheapo scoot policy today which runs until mid October.
They charged me £78 in total, £30 of that was the usual B/S admin fee Rolling Eyes but still, under 50 quid to add a 850 triple to
a comprehensive policy for a 125 scoot for best part of six months riding.... A chuffing bargain I tell you.
Having moved to a less secure postcode since last insuring that bike I'm pretty happy, was prepared to pay a lot more.
Just gotta get it MOT'd/taxed now.... Might as well get that done while I'm off work with Covid for the next few days.
I'm so excited to be about to ride that thing for the first time in just under 3 years, it's gonna scare the shit out of me... Laughing

Or it might have been Joe McGann, can't tell the difference between them two.

Today, the Italian mentioned that he thought he might put up his "tariffs" .
So I think I will put up mine, at the same time.

In the 18 months I've been with him, he'll have put his up twice, and I've not put mine up at all.
I'm being far too helpful for not nearly enough readies.
Thumbs Up

Bought some hozelock stuff off Amazon, all arrived fine and then 3 days later they refunded me for 1 of the 3 items. It's only a tenner but that's fine Smile

Thanks Jeff - Happy days.

Put yours up in direct proportion to his. Presumably you'll know how much that should be Smile

My nearly empty chest freezer has just been replenished with about 150lbs of beef from my brother in law's farm, which begs the question of just how did my wife and I manage to get through the last 150lbs that landed in it back in November. #mightbeacarnivore Mr. Green

Bizarrely, Blackpool. I was there on a stag do over the weekend (not my stag btw). We knew it would be pretty sh*t so maybe that helped temper expectations, but it was actually pretty hilarious. No way on earth I'd go there for a drink with the Mrs, but as a group of lads it was actually pretty funny and the number of genuinely bonkers people we met made the whole experience pretty priceless.

Got the Spacker safely to the MOT test centre, first ride in 3 years and of course it had to be raining. Had one moment
where I unwisely decided to give it a generous squirt of throttle on a clear stretch and nearly lost the back wheel,
the rear was at about 20 degrees to the handlebars but gassed off and got her back in line mainly by using the force. Shocked
Can't be damaging my part exchange Shocked , had a great offer for it from the dealer. Pick the Spacker up tomorrow and then,
finally, she's coming home.

Edit... She passed, clean sheet. (I should hope so with less than 3k of use since new) the handgrip I was worried about
seemed to fix itself after this mornings run to the test centre on full heat, my other "will it pass" concern was the ludicrous
and entirely not road legal race exhaust system... Not even mentioned. Collecting tomorrow AM, might try and squeeze
in a little run somewhere before work. If not I'm off on Saturday so I'll go out then, had the oil and filter changed while it
was in. The bike really needs a damned good clean. looking forward to getting her back up to her sparkling, minty fresh best.

A colleague being inventive on the theme of "birthday edibles" in the office. Rather than the usual spread of Mr Kipling at 11am, today two trays of Costco Pain au Chocolaits and Danish pastries appeared at 8am. That, washed down with a mug of fresh coffee, made for a rather fine breakfast and a damnsite better than the floury muesli I was originally going to have to contend with.

Funny how things turn out when you least expect.
Our little close is arranging a little low key picnic on the local green for the Jubilee.
I was chatting to a neighbour that I’ve never spoken to before.
It turns out that he’s into his bikes and is fairly competent at electrics.

He was enthusiastic talking about a wide variety of bikes from old Brits, Jap, & Italian.
You never know, a second pair of eyes and a second opinion might help with ‘Project Scrappy Hyosung’ Thinking Eh?

Got a couple of spacky relatives, my dad and nephew got a much larger helping of autism than I did. But no, following
the pet name of Striple being dubbed to the Street Triple, a Sport Tracker had that moniker coming. Laughing
It's an alarmingly accurate name as I seem more or less every time I ride that bike to have a nearly disabling experience
with all that grunt, no traction control and the hilarious comedy suspension. I'm really looking forward to the fully adjustable
R1 derived suspension on it's replacement. Straight to JHS racing as soon as I get it for a proper setup, I don't have
the first clue about that kind of stuff and they really know their onions there.

A short diversion to Box Hill turned into an informal meeting of the XSR Appreciation Society Smile

My "light tourer" vs "faux scrambler" vs the new 2022 model. Interesting to see the differences.

Again it’s the little things in life that make you smile.
Speaking to my newly acquired motorbike loving neighbour, it turns out that he doesn’t buy any bike mags (limited budget).
So I gave him a pile of my old bike mags.
He was as pleased as a pleased thing Smile , and he’ll then pass them on to his friend who is into bikes.

Three people get the benefit from one magazine.
I get rid of a pile of magazines and that makes my missus happy Thumbs Up yay!

My little RC car arrived a couple of days ago and yesterday I got the chance to properly test the speed in the works car park.
The claim on the box is 40mph plus and I see no reason to argue.
Outrageous little thing and huge fun.
