That little spoiler is quite funny Laughing

Apparently it helps keep the back wheel down under heavy braking from high speeds - sounds interesting and probably quite useful for Mugello, if it works.

What's going on with Marquez? Mentally gone, unfit and riding over the limit. I think he needs to get on a Ducati.

As much as I can't bring myself to like it the motoE had some good racing today.

I think MM93 will retire at the end of this season!
At the moment he's an accident waiting to happen, if he doesn't adapt his riding style soon that retirement will probably result from injuries sustained.
If things don't change, for the better, for him, will Honda still want him?
It's not like any of the other teams are going to want his services, he's proved, beyond doubt, that he can only develop a bike that he can ride.
Honda have taken that bike away and right now he's up shit creek!

In the pre race waffle from the last round, at Le Mans, the pundits said MM93 has eight full time, personal medics and physios, just to keep him going, FFS!
I know racers are, shall we say, very focussed, but why is no one telling him that you just can't carry on having massive crashes and hope to walk away from every one.
Today the pundits were saying it's good for MM93 that the Finland round has been cancelled because the extra time between races will give him time to have another OP on his shoulder!

Unless there's a massive turnaround for him I think he's done!

I think that the show of support from all the riders when they were on the slowing down lap highlighted [insert your whatevers here].

Suzuki are in a 5 year deal with Dorna...maybe they'll (Suzuki) partially support a team to allow for a softer exit.

MotoGP is heading for rough times.
If it's expensive for Suzuki then it may be .....oh I don't want to overthink it.

The Mugello track organisers were greedy sods....seriously overpriced ticket prices. Word was they were trying to recoup the losses by the pandemic and the not racing fans who didn't turn up because Rossi wasn't there racing.

Suzuki are the only ones financing their own operation, no? OOI has anyone dug into the finances of Leopald ...... almost sure it's a cartel laundering front.

As for prices, a weekend at Silverstone isn't exactly bargain basement either. I think if we paid to 'go' to another bike race it'd be a second visit to the TT.

Yeah, no title sponsor for the Suzuki team. Though apparently (I think it was Simon Patterson who did a breakdown) title sponsors don't actually make that much difference to overall finances, with the exception of Repsol.

It's a shame to see Suzuki go. I have half an eye on their new 1000GT and I'm sort of reticent to do it now just because they're leaving Laughing if there was a MotoGP manufacturer who made an equivalent I'd probably look that way instead, as it stands the only real like-for-like option is the Z1000SX, so perhaps Suzuki will get my money anyway.

I find myself watching MotoGP less and less and preferring Moto2 and Moto3 where there is at least some action going on.

Or the TT - which always takes preference.

Quicker lap times are not necessarily making better racing though. Which i think is something MM93 and some others have been making reference to.

Spectators don't appreciate minor gains there but they do notice a lack of overtaking. Be that because of reduced opportunity or the creation of rules for 'safer' overtakes.

It might be quicker / faster but it is not more interesting.

^^^I get what you say...

World Superbikes are doing faster lap times and it's possibly the most exciting racing I've seen there in years (Toprak 4 MotoGP please).

A big issue with MotoGP at the moment is the aero (Zzzz) causing those that follow to have increased heat in the front tyre=tyre not squidging into the track.

Another thing maybe is the quality of the field. Long gone the overtaking of backmarkers...long gone the days of one rider off into the sunset which was prevalent in the 90s and 00s.

Aye, the bikes are getting too fast for some tracks, and some riders, yet most are happy to report when their new bike is faster (imagine if Fabio had a bike as fast in a straight line as the Ducatis).

Next round is Assen.
Good chance of a wet race. Would be good to see Miller rubbing the Ducati top brass noses in it.

Oh yes .... i really hope that Miller turns out to be their star performer of the season ..... with 8 bikes in there and the only one winning is the horse you didn't want to back Mr. Green

As much as he's a nice bloke, i really hope that's giving him the private giggles.

You can't use this fine fine MotoGP thread to post yourself barely riding a motorcycle - that even when new looked like it had fallen off an Uglystanian container ship and straight into a pile of wee and poo.

Obviously been taken by a regurgitated potato with an actual potato for a camera.

In the old days of BCF you'd get a lot of stick for doing that.

Ocht come on. Fair point, but it's the closest I'd ever get to motogp. Uglystanian container ship Laughing Love that.

At least you've been on a track...the nearest I get to MotoGP is copying content from people in MotoGP.

Well things are looking up for the championship, in the sense that Quartararo's uncharacteristic crash at Assen has meant that he's not just disappearing over the horizon. Espargaro is within shouting distance, and if we see a repeat of Bagnaia's second half of the season from last year it's possible he could get back into it.

Racing in Moto2 and 3 are still fantastic, and if you get the chance, watch the last MotoE race, it's only an 8 lap race and it's truly cutthroat.
