Looking online for a decent sheet map for Western Spain and Portugal; intended use will be helping with route planning and as a backup to satnav on the road (satnav being the main method of navigation).

Eg:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1849074399 Philip's, 16 miles/inch
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/0749582138 AA, 13 miles/inch

Ideally I do want a sheet map (which we can spread over the table to plan routes) rather than a spiral bound job. Concerned whether the scale will be big enough to be of much use (obviously we'll be avoiding the motorways, main highways etc on the bikes). I'm aware of the Michelin regional sheet map series, but it looks like I'd need about 6 or 7 of those to cover the whole area which isn't great.

Anyone done this and can provide good recommendations?

The National Geographic adventure maps are just about detailed enough.
