Just a some pictures from an offroad day I did on my 1991 Africa Twin at the weekend. The other people there were all on brand new bikes. One guy put a hole in the petrol tank of his KTM 890 Adventure with 1,000km on the clock by bottoming out. The old bird took everything I threw at her.

The white with red and blue splash paint were the best, in my opinion.

I prefer the original RD04 paint job as the original poster's pics. I had one of those, but very few photographs of it. Then the usual thing happened. The only time I can afford a new bike the manufacturers change the colour schemes to something shit, hence I had a black RD07 new in 2000 and a 2nd hand black one in 2005 when I had gone round the clock on the new one. It was either the black model in 2000 or the 'look we've made a bike out of old spares' red white and blue look which I hated.

Never liked the frame on the RD07. But I would like to swap my RD04 for an RD03 one day.

I'm sure mine were RD 02s "L" reg and an "N" reg both looked exactly the same, The "L" was brand new and the "N" was a year old. I then went to the FI Varadero because I wanted Honda to upgrade the XRV, but they didn't, If they had I would more than likely have stayed with the XRV.
