Laud the diversity. The last time I had a white man do it. I didn't mind that too much, it was the 'thanks ducky' afterwards that worried me.

Did he have a hand on each shoulder?

Laughing Must be the season for it ... couple of weeks ago I had a nice eastern European woman sticking an ultrasound wand up my flangepiece.

It felt like a celebration, as its taken me years to get them to agree that I don't have to drink all that fucking water Rolling Eyes

Nothing remotely gear-grinding has happened to me today, because I have stayed indoors.

The only thing that slightly got up my nostril was that I put my lipstick on back to front*, and its been coming off on the crockery all fucking day.

*what I meantersay is: in the wrong order. I put on the lipstick and then I put on the plumping lip goo, which made the lipstick come off, which it never does because Maybe its Maybelline.

Leaking tent. Again. It seems to be a lemon, but unfortunately every supply chain has been screwed since 2020 so getting a replacement seems to be nigh on impossible, even though it's almost new.

Is that still 'naughty boy, have a lovely lecture' territory or straight to 3 ponts and £100?

Been given the option of an 'educational course'. Whilst I don't fancy being lectured for half a day, I suppose it is better than the alternative.

I went on one of these years ago, and other than the frightening lack of situational awareness displayed by some of the punters, the thing that sticks in my mind was the first question we were all asked - 'Why are you here?'. The bloke went round the room, heard the answers then patronised us by telling us that we were all wrong. According to him it wasn't because we'd been caught and opted to do a course rather than get 3 points, it was because we needed to be re-educated about the dangers of speeding. I hope we aren't asked the same question this time, because my answer will still be that I didn't want the SP30 and that safety is determined more by road conditions than speed limits. Perhaps I will be better off keeping my mouth shut.

Re-educated! Shocked Not far from lobotomised is that.

Anyway, do it by zoom. You can have two computers side by side and play something while still contriving to look interested. I played CIV 4. Great fun. Thumbs Up

I'm going on my first ever speeding course thing on Tuesday. First time I've ever been going slow enough to be offered one.

Thought I'd blotted my copybook again a few weeks ago when I went through a camera at a dead 30 on the A13 in Stepney then suddenly realised it has had its limit lowered to 20 a little while ago. Got nothing after 14 days so they can't have updated the camera at that time.

I've never done one and never will. Thats most of a day of my life wasted trying to educate me about identifying speed limits and telling me that the faster you go, the more damage. I know and are fully aware of both these facts and when I speed I'm consciously doing so.

3 points means feck all on a licence. I'd rather pay £20 quid (the difference between fine and course) than waste that much of my life.

The fine used to be less than the course a few years ago but then they realised that insurance companies didn't give a fuck about 3 points for speeding.

I'd rather it was squeaky clean as work requires 0 points to drive anything they own.

That said I can work and do the course, so I'd just do the course.

I have to tell them if I get banned because that means they have cover if someone crashes any fleet stuff whilst banned, cause disiplinary offence not to tell them.

Asdie from that, no shits given for minor road indisgresions.

My course was abour 31/2 hours on zoom. I can hack that for the 'nil point'. It means if I fuck up again and outside the window for storie time lectures I will have only 3 points on my licemce, not six which will make a difference.

Nobby, aren't you cutting off your nose to spite your face with that attitude. It'a cheaper to take a course and after 3ish hours you're walking outwith still a clean licence. It's not like you even need to leave your house.

Points don't really make a lot of difference until you get to 12.

Whats vanced ?

Actually just googled it. It's going to be obsolete.

No way of stopping ads without paying on my TV , don't watch on PC etc.

I mean any ad block. I use pi-hole and barely use a browser for personal use.

@YouTube Vanced, its not obsolete and never will be, it'll transition. It is running perfectly fine on my kit.

Went to see the Stones at Anfield last night (gears oiled over that part. And can confirm Keef is apparently still alive).

Anyway. Went by car and decided to park in the city centre, and to play it safe, used the "JustPark" app to guarantee a space. Paid £12 for a 6-hour slot in a secure multistorey; hey ho. I then decided we might not be early enough so 'extended' the booking by bringing it forward an hour earlier. Was advised "£16", ie another £4... now that's double the hourly rate I'd just paid, but again, hey ho. Pressed 'confirm', only to be told I'd now paid £28 total. So, £16 for the extra 1 hour I might need. Unbelievable. (All was not lost though - they do have a free cancellation policy. Oh, except not within 24 hours of arrival). Chiselling BASTARDS.
