i find it frigging weird. its bad enough when people refer to them as she/he, but on some of the videos i watch, theyve given their bikes actual names and refer to them like people .

fess up, how many weirdos on here actually name their bikes? Mr. Green

It is a bit odd, I can kid of understand it though, most motorbike model names don’t exactly trip off the tongue, my Mrs hates bikes so she’s going to go completely blank if I refer to a bike by the model name that sounds like something IT would give you as a temporary password.

She’s have no idea what I was talking about if I referred to an R1250GS, if I said big BMW she’d know exactly what I was taking about. She doesn’t know about RTs yet.

My son wanted to name mine, so he named them Laughing

I've never personally named a vehicle before. If I ever got a boat I would name that though.

I had a Golf, bright green metallic. My wife named it "Puff" Smile The Golf before that she named "Rumblin' Snatch" for some reason Thinking

Do nicknames count? The Kwacker, Gixxer, Striple, Trumpet, etc.

*Not really. But that's definitely what I'd have said if he had done

Not named anything, cars or bikes. I think they need something to prompt it, be it the reg number hinting at a name, the name of the car like Morris the Marina, or a quirk/look to it.

Mum always had names for ‘em, Bessie the Morris Traveller, ‘Muck bucket’ the russet brown Maxi, amarinth for the Cadbury purple rover 214.

Can’t see anything that would distinguish one of tens of thousands of flat white A3 Audis that would earn it a name.

Exup Valdes (FZR1000)
Strumpet (Triumph ST - triumphs were called trumpets back in the 60s)

It was a mostly black bike/My name is Alexander/l traveled into Asia with it/the bike was wrote off after being hit by a Pakistani mini-cab..... Shifty

My wife would often refer to my '98 Honda Pacific Coast as "the Concubine". I'd sometimes come in from the garage and my wife would ask, "did you have a good time out in the garage with that little red bitch whore?"

Standard reply was, "you bet, but there's plenty left in the tank for you, come here!"

Rode that bike 107,000 miles in my eight years of ownership. Selling it was a mistake.
