Hey guys, so I have a honda dylan 125cc from 2005 that I use to drive around private land as it has no paperwork or license plate. It used to run well until a month ago when I took it out after a few years of laying around and had to get the carb off to clean the jets. I also had to replace the coolant hose but I replace it with a water hose lying around. After a few hours of riding around, the temperature warning light was showing up on the dashboard. The coolant hose would eventually come off due to heating up and would spray hot coolant everywhere. After a few minutes of riding, the exhaust pipe would get very hot to the point where it would start smoking even with coolant filled to optimal level. Also, when the coolant sprayed out, It would be a green colour (originally pink)and have a smell similar to urine. My assumption is that the problem is the water hose that I used for coolant but I am not experienced in motorcycles. Also, I am in a different country so do not have access to the bike and will be back in around a month. Thanks

""""I replace it with a water hose lying around. """ Shocked
Is the top hose ,radiator and bottom hose getting hot?
Also what does the spark plug colour tell you?
Also how do you drive a bike / scooter? Laughing

So the hose either didn't fit or you didn't fit a hose clip to hold it on.

So you've bodged the cooling system, overheated and fucked your scooter.

Was there supposed to be a question in there?
