A while back i bought a game off ebay. Except I hadn't bought a game, I'd paid for him to give me the login to an xbox account that had the game but he still controlled the account.
He gets people to join his discord server and does cheap deals. But he wants people to keep buying and gets grumpy when he thinks they haven't bought enough.
It was quite a good service but I didn't play enough games of the ones I bought.

Does anyone know someone who is running a similar thing?

It's quite a good business and not actually illegal but I don't think I'd do it myself as for it to be active it probably needs quite a bit of work.
He's fallen out with me and kicked me out of the club, and the games I have will stop working if he changes the logins but many will probably continue to work for quite some time as he doesn't change all of them just the popular ones.
It was actually quite a good system if he wasn't grumpy and pressuring people to buy.

I've come across others who do one offs but then they stop your access to the account soon after. I need someone who runs a discord server who wants repeat business preferably less prone to banning people.

He doesn't sell the accounts, he just gives you the login details to access them. He can change the password any time.
He buys games to put onto new accounts and usually has just one game per account.
I have no way of knowing the origin of the accounts or the credit card details on those accounts but have no reason to believe they are stolen.
It's unlikely as most have his nickname in the email address for the login and often refer to the game on the account.
Anyone know someone offering a similar service?

It works for him forever but he can change the password at any time. If you are still in the club you just get the new password. He doesn't bother changing the passwords of all the logins. Just the popular ones so a lot of my favourites will probably last a long time before he bothers to change them if ever.
He likes doing a clearout of people who aren't buying enough so that keeps the pressure on for those in the club to keep buying. I think it's a bit of a power trip with him. Seems daft to me as even infrequent members will buy again, but maybe it pays him to keep the buying pressure up.
I don't think he's entirely rational though, he just gets cross with people.
I'm sure there are similar little businesses but other ones I've come across aren't doing the long term game.

Sounds like a lot of hassle. What are you saving versus an XBox Live account? £11 per month to play anything sounds pretty reasonable. It's only the likes of Skyrim, Cyberpunk 2077 & Elden Ring you actually get your full money's worth buying the game outright.

Mostly, you are right and you can get game pass even cheaper if rather than letting it run, you create a fresh Microsoft login every month to get the month for a pound offer. You log into that account alongside your main one.
It is also a bid fiddly have to store all the logins for when you want to play a particular game.
Difference is with game pass some games leave and it's their choice not yours.
Like game pass it's good for the games you would never pay full price for don't mind trying for a quid and they turn out to be good.
Different mix of games to game pass.

Buy pc. Pirate games. Job done.

I don't understand why you'd hand over money for non permanent accounts anyway, so...

I suppose it's like borrowing a friend's credit card to grab a sausage roll from Greggs.

"But with a PC..."

You steal the ingredients, make your own sausage rolls and bake them in an oven you built by hand!

Um... maybe not the best analogy Smile

This sounds good tell me more.

I once bought a steam account with cyberpunk on it. I no longer have access to the steam account as the guy changed the password but I can still play the game off the hard drive.

How do you do it?

Id prefer pc pirate games as the graphics are better, i just need to get a bigger hard drive.

you would just have to download pirated games from a site like thepiratebay. they come with instructions.
you will need a VPN. and usually you cant play online.

Thanks I'll give it a go. I've got Android games as apks before just didn't think it would work for PC. I'll give it a go.

The site I've used before for other stuff like movies and music has some interesting pc games like farcry6+3, Red dead redemption 2, horizon 4 and 5, sekiro, elden ring, doom eternal and scarlet Nexus, so I'll free up some drive space and see if I can get any of them to work.

If I do get them work it will be quite a bit better than Xbox.

Piratebay is easiest.

Fuck the VPN.

You can get some multiplayer stuff, but I don't play multiplayer stuff unless its actually worth it, most of my pirates are single player like God of War and that.

There are many pirate proxies that replicate the offerings on the bay.

Some people think you need a VPN in case your internet service provider objects to piracy. Anyone been blocked by their isp? I have a feeling i might have years ago but I'm not sure.

Virgin write you passive-aggressive emails every so often if you don't use a VPN.
