Wild Palms
1993 Oliver Stone produced Sci-fi Noir thriller.
At the time it was panned as a crude attempt at a Twin Peaks rip off but I always felt it stood up for itself as a sci-fi conspiracy thriller.

Jim Belushi plays a rather hapless very square TV lawyer type who gets drawn into a conspiracy involving a corporation punting some new fangled virtual reality mass entertainment aystem but also involved with a psuedo spiritual cult with political aspirations.

The whole series has been put on YouTube

I have to say, I'm loving the new Obi Wan show on Disney+. The little girl playing young Leia was cast perfectly and
steals the show so far. Looking forward to seeing how Mr Vader comes into the story.

Runs like she's on stilts ... but still manages to outrun all of the adults ... and not one of the adults when they are two feet away think of reaching out and grabbing her!!

But, apart from that, yes perfect casting Thumbs Up

Black Summer

Yet another zombie apocalypse drama, but there's something intriguing about the way it's filmed, and lack of dialogue. Very much enjoying.

Man vs. bee (Netflix) - 8.5/10

It is pretty much what it is. Rowan Atkinson fights a bee. Smile

As the final series of Bosch? I liked the first six (?), they pulled off the near impossible in that they repeated the same formula but it somehow still felt fresh, then the final series had some incel police officer storyline (really?) with their arrest being the most organic scene in television Neutral

They'd previously even addressed BLM tactfully, then the final series felt like a 180 to launch legacy, which I gave a brief go as I thought maybe it would be like 'old' Bosch... but it wasn't.

Ash vs. Evil Dead (Netflix) 7/10 - I nearly gave up on this after one episode as I didn't get the style/humour at first, I'm so glad I didn't as it's hilarious. The plot can be a bit contrived but as it's never taking itself seriously it can be forgiven.

Reacher (Prime) 9/10 - I wasn't interested originally as I thought a tough guy thing wasn't my cup of tea, but I eventually gave it a go and the characters, writing, humour was so much better than I was expecting. Also the main guy is Wub

Terminal List (Prime) 8/10 - much like Reacher but with Guardians of the Galaxy guy and more serious. I thought this wasn't gonna be my cup of tea either, but it was gripping. My only criticism is I kinda feel like the story has been done numerous times before.

^both Reacher and Terminal List are stuff you wouldn't expect them to make now, so until Rings of Power comes out well done Amazon Thumbs Up

The new Resident Evil on Netflix seems pretty good.

Although I can't work out if there's a previous set I should have watched before this.

agreed. as legacy went on i gave up on it. quite disapointing.

looking at your recent list, id recommend you try Peacemaker. its a super hero comedy show starring John Cena. some genuine laugh out loud moments in it

I heard it was good but I haven't watched The Suicide Squad, do I need to? I'm completely burnt out and hate super hero stuff now (since ~2017/Marvel phase 3).

If it hasn't been said before, try Borgen if you like a political one with personal intrigue.

yes. i enjoyed season 1. season 2 was not so good.

The first series was brilliant, a genuine antidote to all the shitty superhero stuff, a bit like Watchmen the film is (the series is the wokest thing ever made).

The second series is atrocious, and seemingly written by someone who just discovered 4chan. The irony is the Nazi woman is played by a Jewish actress.

Third I haven't watched but I've heard it's more of the same.
