I took my gilera dna to a mechanic because it was cutting out when I was riding it and they said it needed a new stator. A new stator has been fitted and the bike will start and rev up but as soon as you stop giving it throttle it will cut out. If left to idle it will cut out after a couple of seconds. the bike was sat unused for about 3 months so we topped up the water oil and petrol. Can anybody offer any advice? Cheers.

Burn it. Get a proper bike.

Tom
Reading your posts, Nobby's kind of right as it sounds as if that thing is a PITA and a50cc 2 smoke is not much use even on a good day.
2008 50cc 2T? probly well fooked by now.
I wouldn't waste time or money at a thing like that

Bin it, burn it, flip it and get a 125 4 stroke for hacking to school and back
(if you're still 16, buy a bicycle until you're 17.)

A 2T, liquid-cooled, CVT, scooter motor, in a 'race rep' frame Shocked

Flog it, get whatever you can for it, and buy a Jap 125 as you were planning in an earlier post. Thumbs Up
