Dash comes on and fuel pump whines, but nothing on the start button. Took the switch apart and seems fine, tried bypassing the start switch too, no luck.

Does anyone know were the side stand switch is on a 2007 SH300, and how to access it?

I'm assuming that's the next best thing to try?

Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

That`s a big switch.

I just went out to take another look. I found the switch, a bearing thing, which is stiff to turn. I don't know if it's faulty but as they aren't expenseive I am prepared to replace it and see.

However, I can't see how to do that. It looks like I have to take half the bike apart lol. Anyone have experience with this please?

Just take the side panel off and unplug the thing
if it now starts, you need a new switch

If it doesn't, short the connector pins together and try again
If it starts, you need a new switch

If it wont start in either state the problem lies elsewhere
