The cocksuckers most likely thought they had millions of people over a barrel for that exact reason. How sad for them they were so wrong.

When you find yourself wondering when you might die, and of what.

Not really as ready for that as I imagined I was.

Not afraid of it, as such.
Just not ... erm, ready for it. Laughing

When you realise that the first 916s came out 28 years ago and the GSXR 1100 was 36 years ago !

And I felt really old the other day when a relative asked my child for help doing something, rather than me.

Problem is I did but luckily brought back ... trying hard not to think too much about it, but now it's always hanging around in my head ... do I have another 20-30 years to go, do I have a few days!

It'll happen when it happens I suppose, probably won't know about it!

^^^ Nope Didn't Experience ... see what I did there Wink

I have zero recollection of the actual event and the 10 days afterwards ... seemingly everyday I was calling people and saying "You'll never guess what happened to me" ... also joined a few work meetings via video, had people visiting ... or so they say!!

They kept me in an induced coma for a few days, seemingly I was getting a bit unruly as I was coming round Embarassed

First day I really remember was when I had my ICD (pacemaker) fitted on the 19th!

Interesting I had a blank screenshot taken on my phone around 8:27pm, which is around the time I collapsed ... I may have been trying to call for help, but only the big guy in the sky knows for sure.

All the best ... Barry

P.S. All of the above is what I've been told and what was written down in my 'Diary And Visitor Book' which my brother brought in ... initially filled in by my sister and brother, then by me.

I have to admit: I sometimes do some typical household thing (emptying the washing machine, washing a cup) and I think "What if this is the last time I do this? I might drop dead before I do another one!" *

So although I am a lazy slattern, I do a bit of extra tidying up in case someone has to come in and find me karked out on the kitchen floor and I don't want them finding my knickers under the bed, etc.

And then I remind myself that my grandmother was 89 before she pegged it, and my mother is still doing alright at nearly 83, so I figure I might have another 20 years of washing up cups ... so I leave it for two weeks before I do it again.

Although I also think things like "What if this is the bacon sandwich that kills me? What if I choke cos I didn't chew it cos barely any back teeth?" - but I eat it anyway. Mr. Green Thumbs Up

*What if I die and the cats eat my eyeballs?

I've been a few meetings lately where I felt like i might have died. But usually only of boredom - or from a complete lack of understanding WTF they are talking about - fucking Corporate speak, does my turret in! I'm getting used to it, but strangely I am happier amongst the medical terminology. Much more familiar territory.

Hey ho, its all an exciting learning experience for hellkat Laughing

So what other things do you have under the bed Wink

At the end of the day, no matter what embarrassing things they find ... you'll be dead and won't care!

In saying that I have also thought the same, although my stuff would be in the washing machine waiting to be washed Laughing

I think the cleaning lady swipes the Henry round under there now and then, but there's some sort of toolbox (?) holding the central bit of the bed in place.

At some point in my romantic career, the bed broke and at the time the big bad ex ( Wub ) reinforced it with extra wood - and then wedged the toolbox underneath it to support it centrally. And he's been gone a year or three by now Thinking - so its been there quite some time.

That just reminded me of the scene in the Edge of Darkness where the Bob Peck character sniffs his dead daughters dildo.

Makes me wonder if she's old enough to be watching that, particularly on a school night.

Jeez, this. The fella with a T140 I was doing the wiring for also had his GSXR 1100 in bits (starting issues) and if it weren't for seeing the CV carbs it'd be hard to reconcile it was made in 1992. 30 years old but he's kept it absolutely mint.

I'm starting to get the kids* asking me to check over cars and stuff rather than my father-in-law so I guess that mean he's old Smile
