I've had K&Q seats on early Goldwings whichI found very comfortable. Also the padding on them was very deep so I don't really see the need for a gel seat with them. The gel seat I had on my STR was OK, but that was a really thin saddle.
The only thing looking at the seats in your link, they are sculptured so not as thickly padded as mine which were mounted on a flat seat base so maybe the gel seat is needed.
You can see from this picture of one I fitted to a a200 Interstate. It's way thicker padded than the one you are looking at.

I've tried a few gel seats, and know plenty of other people who've tried them at various times. Some are amazing, some are worse than stock, but usually they're somewhere in between.
If you want to know about that seat in particular, you're probably best off asking on the triumph forums, you're a lot more likely to come across someone who's actually had one.
