It may be your opinion that textiles are safer than leathers because of grabbing. But none of the world’s leading experts in motorcycle protective clothing for road riding (e.g. Chris Hurren, Liz de Rome, Roderick Woods) have said it.

What’s more, the late John Hinds (highly renowned road racing doctor) argued in favour of leathers because they act as fracture splints that can save lives by reducing circulatory degradation until the injured rider gets to hospital. (In contrast, he found humps worsened matters and made treatment harder at the crash scene.)

I use Halvarssons when I wear textiles. Excellent quality, totally waterproof. Did the Northumberland 250 last week and it rained for a full 7 hours. Stayed dry.
