The BBC isn't all useless as without the BBC, the TV licensing jerks wouldn't send someone round to tell me they've read my gas and leccy meters.

Who the utter is in command of programming at BBC? Diversity and inclusion, that's who and what's more, diversity and inclusion is gonna get ya so shut your white privileged face. Shocked

A robot they call "she".
Presumably they've programmed it to 'feel hurt' if you 'misgender' it.

Wash finished 10 minutes ago and there’s no sign of the owner. I checked for a body (the only acceptable excuse) but the car was empty. The driver must have walked 100 yards up the road to the food court/M&S/WH Smiths/toilets. Arsehole! I reversed out and returned later.

Royal mail strike. I have important ebay tat that needs putting in a drawer!

Top Tip: Royal mail workers. Gain an immediate >6% payrise by not going on strike for 3 weeks this year.

They're just striking because prices are high and wages are not moving high enough to compensate.

People who work in jobs which have strong unions, go on strike.
The rest of us just crack on and quietly bitch about it indoors Rolling Eyes

Today my gears are ground by myself, being completely incapable of booking private patient appointments correctly Rolling Eyes

WTF is wrong with me? Laughing
Even the consultant is like Jen, WTF?

I spent ages setting them up for F2F appointments when they were supposed to be via video. I think my brain has gone on holiday Rolling Eyes

And another thing ...
I ordered some clothes (including a saucy Mrs Santa Claus dress for Christmas) and it arrived whilst I was away over the weekend. There is no "we tried to deliver" card, no picture to prove it was delivered, and there is definitely no parcel in my "safe" place Brick Wall
Fucking "your parcel has been delivered" Yodel.
I suspect some east London toe-rag has had it away.

Luckily it was "only" three items. But they were bloody nice items Mad
I was going to order a couple of hundred quids worth of more things from another company, but I think I will not bother now. I'll just show up at my mum's dressed in old rags Laughing

The UK postal service is still an important service.
The job of postperson is low skilled so possibly attracts/suits low skilled people.
Prices/costs of living steadily increase, due to businesses driving for continual profit and profit increase (growth) year on year, to satisfy investors.
The increase in profit is traditionally not passed on to workers. And there are businesses that actually strive to reduce worker pay (And conditions).

So strike action is normally taken as a last resort when negotiations fail.
When business management dig their heels in.

So do not reduce strike action to The worker people's choices.

When people go on strike they are forced to loose pay in order to improve their situation.

Whether that is right or wrong depends on the situations.

If a business cannot make a profit it may not just be unionised workforce who are to blame.

It's a very luxurious place to be in when one can pick the perfect job/career.

Count the number of millionaires in today's economy.
There is plenty of money to go around.

What we think of as "work" may be straightforward - delivering mail - but the actual work is trying to deal with management: an exercise in Olympic-level patience Sad

That's according to the postal workers I know anyway.

Corporations have too much power. I fully support any workers who need to strike, the balance of power is all wrong, they only exist because of the people that power them. They should do well to remember that.

The French have the right idea.

I wonder how many Truss-a-likes there are in the management. We've all met them.

The answer is in the words we use for employment.

The workers.
The managers.

I remember listening the management trying to sound big when refering to service engineers. As 'hourly paid' as in less important disposable labour they a sign to jobs.

The service engineers had served a recognised trade apprenticeship including 4 years further education college.
The managers had no such qualifications.
They were usually the lazy bastirt sycophants that were harvested from where they worked in the warehouse.

Putting up a greenhouse.

It's a good quality greenhouse. Made in Britain. All the bits were in the packaging. All glass was intact and the instructions are so good even wifie could make it.

So why is it grating my gears? It's a full size wersion of meccano and I was never a meccano fanboi. Lego was my go to building kit as a kid. Also it has to be done in the next 2 days before wifie gets home from jaunting around some lake on holiday with her paddleboading mates. Why? Because it's going over her favourite flower bed in the sunniest place in the back garden. There will be repurcussions but if it's up and in place, possesion is 9/10ths of the law and all that!!

I must have put in a few hundered nuts and bolts today making the frame, IN THE RAIN as well. Crying or Very sad Thank god for battery screwdrivers.

Anyway all sides are built. Putting them together tomorrow and then the glass to fit which I am really not looking forward to.

It will be worth it though. I can put my carniverous plants in there and get my man cave back from being over run. Also locust breeding for my grandsons mini dinosaur can move out side rather than the garage as escapees have been known to enter the house and cause wifie to have tantrums.

Stay single younsters, it's much easier to live by the Find 'em, feel 'em, fuck 'em, forget 'em mantra than having to fight for the rights to put your engine parts in the dishwasher or build a greenhouse in the kitchen. Wink

I put some fancy organiser app on my browser, its supposed to help me get back to tabs I've forgotten about.

But I'm vaguely irritated that I can feel it prodding me.
Go away. I don't want to be organised today!
