Car insurance due for renewal - £550, was £450.
Comparison website says £250 with telemetry thing, ££255 without. Obviously the policy is getting changed over.
If the first company had just been in the region of last year my lazy arse would probably have paid, but their greed and belief that are too lazy Andy people don’t understand ‘auto renew’ has cost them.
Robbing gits.

Had exactly the same with my car and van this year and got better cover and a lower price just by shopping around.
They rely on apathy, stealth auto renewal tactics and good old fashioned laziness. My last car insurer tried to double last
years price. Only my bike insurance stayed about the same at renewal time.

They're not allowed to do that any more. Just renewed my bike insurance and although it had gone up by 80% (despite another year's NCD and only a modest upgrade in bike Mad ) the cheapest option was still the renewal quote. And I tried EVERYWHERE, believe me...

Pale Got to ring mine next week once the new one has been registered for a mid policy change, so that's a £30 charge
before we start. Not looking forward to the inevitable scalping given the new bike is worth more than double the last and
has 50 ish ponies more power. Hopefully telling them I have gap insurance will help.

The cost of heating and lighting the office and running a coffee machine/kettle must have shot up too.

The government's incentive to not use a car/bike so much by lashing a 40% hike on fuel duty should mean less use of the vehicle.
Therefore, less risk to insurers.

Or something.
