Seems to have been trying for an old Ducati sort of look. Don't know why, because the TRX850 is a good-looking bike in standard form.
It kind of went wrong because he didn't do a mock-up on paper on on the computer. Seems to have the wrong sidestand, or there's something up with the right sidestand.

A TRX has a trellise frame almost identical to a ducati so I don't know why you think the builder is trying to copy a ducati.

It already looked like one.

You could never pass that off to me as a Ducati just because it has a trellis frame. The fairing is a clear throwback to the racing and cafe-style desmo Ducatis of the pre-trellis era.

Largely pointless half-baked mods to an already great looking bike..

For some reason I always thought the TRX had a V twin, not a parallel twin engine. Embarassed

I think it has a offset crank so it has the firing sequence and sound of a v despite being a twin.

And that fairing looks like just about any racing fairing from the 70s.

Retro cafe racering TRXs is a thing, the French are big on it.

Pretty sure that's a French made off the shelf fairing kit.

When you see one of those fairings and it's bright red / Monza red, it has a Ducati vibe. There are subtle visual cues in the lines. Combo of straight lines and curves. Well, to my eye anyway. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and assume he had a look in mind, and didn't just gey carried away with an accessories catalogue.

Yes red is the traditional colour for Italy but thats largely a 50s thing. You have to be a bit old to even know.

This pile of carp sold for £350 at auction at the National Motorcycle Museum on Thursday, the next day it is on ebay. Frame is cobbled together from plumbing fittings and bits off the scrap heap. Engine forked and no gearbox. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/134357562347?hash=item1f4855b3eb:g:D0AAAOSwxztjke2v&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAkA42mfpXUeOUxIM6bd2y2qUuwPCM%2F%2F0YLl%2FM%2BqsCNQPN5QsN5tqJKkUjqOIUWNTYIIux0qqb15hYuzJJYrdaURhb65dCeE7%2FIMGohGLoVnIDlDnwg8VdhImbUmP5Au8ek0hl2%2BpiiVQYeY8lG5cvUPGXIN%2FBzkQEvesu5UbM4wsX3as2HyOOtolNZ93R0kISKA%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR-Dpm5CfYQ

I think/hope they're using 'daring' ironically as its obviously a shit box

A glance at their other bikes, mostly SoR, shows they don't have quite the eye watering prices others ask for shite.
for example
This low mileage bike for £695 could well be ok for someone on limited funds as a runabout or tinkering/learning project.
throw a couple of hundred at it for a service and parts and it may be
a half decent hack for less than grand

£700 for a spares or repair Chinese bike that's 11 years old and probably didn't cost much more new?, no thanks.
