Bob Holnesses had a swan, it rushed out of the undergrowth and broke my arm. True fact.

Deserved more recognition but we're all lazy bastids so typing is more hassle than just chuckling at it.

Probably by making him fall over as he was running away on a panic. Laughing

I love how you're not questioning Bob's casual theft of the Queen's property, but investigate _my_ honesty! Laughing

Just adding to, and reinforcing those urban myths pal. I did once get bitten by a goose, and that really really (this time) was a true fact. Honestly.

I’ve just heard that Wilco Johnson has passed away Crying or Very sad .
In my book , a truly sad day.

I remember seeing him play in the late 70’s when he was at his best.
I think he was deserving of more/better recognition than he got..

Wilco Johnson - no longer feeling good...

Saw the great man in a small converted cinema in Holmfirth a few years ago, playing with the equally great Norman Watt-Roy. It was just after his tumour opp, and he was still magnificent.

That's a sad loss. I was lucky enough to see the Feelgoods a few times, he was a true individual with his own style and a nice bloke to boot.

R.I.P. Wilco. Sad

Probably should be in the Grinds My Gears thread, but I was deeply offended to hear a radio station play Milk And Alcohol as a 'tribute' to Wilko, a song that was not only recorded after he had left the Feelgoods, but was co-written by his replacement - kuntz!

By coincidence, he died on what would have been my Father's 90th birthday, a man who was very much into music and was moved to comment, on seeing a telly performance of Wilko with the Blockheads, "Jeez, that bloke's got some presence"............quite Cool

RIP JP Wilkinson, thanks for your music and your influence.

It wasn't in the least surprising that he hit it off so well with Norman Watt-Roy Smile

Today I am very sad to learn of the passing away of Nick Fisher.
He was only 63.
He was the presenter of ‘Screaming Reels’ , one of my favourite programs that has ever been on the telly.

He was reported missing and his body was found three days later.

A writer for a few soaps and collaborator with Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall on River Cottage Fish book.
He always came across as a chilled out cat who liked fishing and the countryside.
