some Aigle wellies for the wench, for Xmas.
the last pair lasted 6 years, which takes the sting out of the eye watering price a bit.

5kW Diesel heater for the garage, just needs to take the chill off as after a couple of hours it gets a bit cold. Think it'll be enough for that, can run it on 50/50 waste oil apparently.

If it's a Chinese copy, you'll struggle to burn anything other than pure diesel. A Planar is more forgiving. My Webasto on the boat is a right finicky bastard despite costing an arm and a leg so I only burn diesel in it.

If you want to burn waste oil, filter it, mix no more than 25% crap and 75% diesel and you shouls be OK. Veggie oil smells nice when burning. Laughing

I had never even thought about using waste veg oil as a fuel source for heating; our garage is freezing and we have a steady supply of veg oil because of all the cooking I do. Currently I end up storing it up in a 5L caddy and taking it to the tip (where they have a used cooking oil bin, I don't chuck it in the skips).

Not had chocolate for two weeks.
Withdrawal symptoms.
Only viable option at my present location was to give the pot water tanker driver some cash and a picture of these.
Snickers (Marathons.)

I just hope he makes it back safely. Sad

Printer ink. Sodding thing stopped halfway through a 12 page document meaning I had to tear arse down to Currys
for a good reaming to grab a replacement. Amazon was cheaper but couldn't wait a day for them to arrive.

Appreciate the advice, probably could buy a house with my current amount of savings. Not sure £59.99 will make
that much of a dent. Besides the Transit is heading for a 'for sale' listing on account of Bristol's poxy new low emission
zone that's been carefully calculated to wring as much money out of people as possible. That's 2 to 3k back in the pot.
Spending money is the only form of fun and gratification I have left given that nobody can stand my company.

My nephew is pokemon daft. He also likes playing ping-pong.

But it turns out nobody makes a pokeball coloured ping-pong ball. There are various people who have made up their own but no off the shelf ones.

This seems like a glaring ommission to me.

Just got myself a new compressor ... Hyundai Silent 50L Compressor HY27550 ... always wanted a bigger compressor, this has 11CFM so should work the brad nailer I've just bought and should also be able to sandblast without stopping to re-pressurise every minute.

I've got one of the Aldi compressors already, but it's nowhere near as powerful and the new one is also a silent one and oil free ... so will be great to use in my new bedroom based wood workshop Thumbs Up

A bat detector kit. I spent yesterday afternoon happily practising my soldering skills on it, and I was quite pleased with the job insofar as the welds were quite neat on the whole, until I put batteries in and it wouldn’t work. Today I’ve figured out that the battery case becomes distorted with three batteries in so one battery is half a millimetre away from contact. (Some brands of AA battery are a tiny big bigger than others.) That sorted and it works, at least it detects some sounds. The few bats round here will all be hibernating. Back in the summer I’d played around with a much simpler Haynes bat detector and it worked, I could hear them at dusk moments before seeing them although I wasn’t sure whether it was detecting bat squeaks or just wing beats. Bit of fun though.

Soldering on the kitchen table is much easier than trying to solder terminals hanging off a bike’s harness so I shouldn’t get overconfident.

So if you can't hear anything it's more likely to be a Lesser Horseshoe 108kHz.

Capture the audio and use this https://sonosaurus.com/paulxstretch/ then add reverb = You are now Brian Eno.
