yep, you seem to be missing a couple of bits.

1) is the regulator and 2) is the starter resistor.

[quote="Nobby the Bastard"]Right.

So, the power going to the battery has knackered it.

if there was no regulator how is the power getting to the battery?

Has someone just taped the wires out of the stator to the wires to the battery where the regulator is supposed to be?[/quote

Do you really think this is how Peugeot designed this?

It's just confusing because I've had this bike for over 1 year with no issues, I used too do like 40miles on it sometimes.

It's only become an issue since it was hot wired and driven around the carpark.

After that, wiring was reattached and new ignition barrell.

How has it lasted so long without the parts

No, but I got it 2nd hand with full history etc and I've never had a reason too look under the panels, until it was stolen.

Would it work for as while like that?

I've got absolutely no idea because I'd never be stupid enough to throw unregulated AC at a battery toi find out!

Yes, it worked around a year with no issues. Used too run fine, it's only been an issue since wires were connected again after the hotwire.

It's hard too find anything that helps online with original wire setup. So I'm not sure if they connected a wire in wrong place or even if regulator has been moved years ago too somewhere else.

It's all just confusing and annoying, because I use it for work.

Let's get the bad news out of the way, best find something to bite down on...

Unless you really want to get into bike electrics and wiring diagrams I don't think there's an easy fix here. Someone really needs to analyse what's happened to this scooter both as it was and after the hotwiring. Translation: garage + money, probably lots of it Sad

Probably easier to buy a second hand loom and the other missing stuff than try and fix that.

Bend over darling, it's going to sting a bit.

I understand, I'm doing driving lessons early next year, so only needed it too last until then.

Is it normal for two wires on each?

Depends. Does it have aftermarket heated grips?

One of the photos is the connector round in carpark after stolen. The other image is how it's connected now.

Black wire in wrong place and green wire not looped...

Also, no idea what these are near battery

Switched the black wire and starts straight away. I'll keep checking it and see if it continues too start.

Hmm. I suspect someone at some point isolated an immobiliser, quite possibly to hotwire it.

Can't get key in tonight too try it, because it's frozen. So I'll try tomorrow and see if it's still running.

The connector block that they cut off, it's got a green wire that loops, do you think that could be part of the grounding?

Sorry if it's stupid question, I didn't even know it was a think until today.

So it's still starting, does struggle a bit sometimes, but still starts.

I'm going too get them wires put in connector block and also the green loop added back on.

The other day the battery was draining with engine running, but now it is charging while engine is running.

Thanks for all the help, I'll let you know if anything changes again.
