Got friends over from the US, so took them to see some touristy stuff. Rode the Viffer because nadgery lanes, wet leaves and a Fireblade 'aint exactly the best of buddies. They borrowed an auto box NC750 for the day. Ugh.

Popped another 100 miles sodding about on the MTen, went to one of my favourite spots, Brean Down.

Via one of my favourite short stretches of road I've ever ridden on. Been going up and down this road since
before I could drive, my folks used to have a caravan in Brean for the duration of my childhood, spent more or less
all of my summers there when I was a nipper. I know Brean, Berrow and Burnham as well as I know my home town.

A cracking twisty little run

Spin up north to Settle (Naked Man breakfast) then Devil’s Bridge before heading back over Bowland. Mucky and wet but saw a fair few other bikes out.

I'd probably say for someone used to riding/driving on the other side of the road in a country without twisty mucky backlanes and with a purpose of looking around, it's probably an ideal bike. Twist-n-go, can see what's going on and predictable. Did you take them to the top of the aquaduct as well to walk over the top?

Most disappointed to find out that drinks were NOT free and there was barely enough fun and sunshine for me
never mind everyone. Wink This was THE holiday daytrip destination when I was a kid in the 80's but it was £7 a ticket and
my parents never took me because it was too expensive. Being denied access to the giant fibreglass pineapple and water
chutes has mentally scarred me forever. We went to the pool in Burnham on Sea instead, entrance fee there was 35p
and bovril from the machine afterwards was 5p.

It's got a bloody decommissioned oil rig in it now. What the hell is the world coming to?

Friend dropped his bike twice. Once on a frozen cow pat which was covered with snow- which then locked up his front wheel, the second was on a stretch of about 100 yards of sheet ice. The three of the rest of us made it fine Laughing Laughing

Stopped at one of my local Caff's, The Old Stores, on a bimble around on the Fireblade. If you're in N.Wales, this is about as biker-friendly as you get.

At the Millau Viaduct in deepest darkest France, the tallest bridge In. The. World. (Apparently.)

(Yeah I know, but it was actually quite hard to get somewhere closer with the bike to photograph in the foreground.)
