This happened in August. Has it been kept under wraps for some reason? Maybe because of the Anne Sacolas case?

Long straight roads, mostly flat. Without knowing the exact spot it's hard to imagine how you'd plough into a biker. My bet is texting.

I remember riding past the flowers back at the time.

She was travelling from Lakenheath to Downham Market so my guess is she'd have cut through Feltwell and was emerging onto the A10 from the northern-most Southery junction, where the incident happened.

It was definitely in the news at the time; I looked it up after having seen the flowers.

Yep, it was in the news because the US military tried to claim juristiction on the basis that she was on duty but the judge gave them short shrift because, although she was in uniform, she was driving away from the base and heading towards his accomodation.
