We have two complainants here already. Their property security has been compromised without the service provider seeking their permission to show what they have shown. What about this bit Islander? No, they don't have to seek permission. Should they have to?
Should the onus be on the property owner to check their service to see if there's anything like this they're not happy with?
I'm sure they do it out of motives of pure decency ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017

It's a good point. Should a film crew have a responsibility to be careful about what they show that isn't directly connected with what they're filming for?
Tbh, I think most of them do consider that.
How do you answer the complainants here who feel the security of their property has been compromised by showing where they keep certain valuable items and how they are secured? What if they weren't users of Street View, and so didn't know about the 'compromise'?
And you know me Nobby - I'm looking forward to the socialist utopia! ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017

Of course it's not a good idea to leave valuable items badly secured in full view. But what really struck me was that they had raised the camera so that it overlooked people's property boundaries, e.g. fences. Surely if they're going to do that, they ought to be more careful about what they show? It's a bit different to just showing the front of a house with a tidy garden or front yard. It means they had breached what would otherwise have kept valuable items out of view. So now they've got to go further? ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017

Satellites and drones... it depends on where the images are published and how clear they are.
But ok, it's not a problem, fair enough.
B1N, the consensus is you have no grounds for complaint. ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017

Would any reasonable expectation of privacy stop at things someone could see standing on the public highway?
Isn't complaining about someone seeing your bikes on streetview the equivalent of standing in the front window in the buff and complaining that someone looked at your tonker? ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. This is what made me comment:
| B1N wrote: | I don't have a problem with the front of the house being shown but I live on a corner plot with a 6ft fence down the side of the property, the google cam looks right over the fence and shows practically all of our back garden and everything in it, including my bike.
They must have raised the height of their cameras because it wasn't a problem with the old images which have now been replaced. |
But you're a bit late to the party - we've established that this is ok.

A combination of Vue cinemas and the Halifax have toasted my fucking cheese today. I get a cinema ticket with
my bank account each month, I'm down with the family and have a years worth of these cinema codes to use
because I don't ever go out. Thought I'd use a few up to take my sister & the kids to see Avatar 2 tomorrow. First of
all I had to open a bastard account with Vue , irritation level mild but increasing. Then I couldn't find the box
to enter the discount codes, then the page refreshed and I had to start again... irritation level warming
up now. Started again, during the faff had lost one of the final 4 VIP seats available when I started the process,
now I have got the bloody hump... Started YET again choosing four different seats, trying to call my
sister at the same time to tell her we had lost the VIP seats. Then I realised with 5 seconds remaining that the
booking page has a FUCKING timer on it, cue another refresh and me about to launch my laptop out of the window.
Started the process for a fourth time, because I'd like to completely lose the plot today as well as go to the cinema
tomorrow... Manage to get right to the end of the process and after allowing me to enter four different codes, one
for each ticket in a krypton factor style timed challenge and the CUUUUNTING Vue website informs me I can
only redeem one of them. NOT what it says on the email I have with the code on it which says explicitly that you
can save them up and redeem them in multiples. FUUUCK this shit.
Attempt number five, by this time I want to gouge my own eyes out and punch the screen on my computer. I
have decided "BOLLOCKS I'll just pay for the fucking tickets". Now the VIP seats are somehow magically available again
so I press on and get them allocated to me, checkout time so I decide to use just one of the codes which are alleged to
be for any seat I want including VIP. The Vue website decides to reallocate one of the four seats I wanted to a
standard one on the other side of the cinema AARGGGGGGHHHHH!!!! Attempt six and guess what, the four VIP
have bloody gone again prompting another call to my sister. I don't even want to talk to anybody at this point, the
air is blue and I'm swearing in ways my mother didn't know I could. Attempt 7 and the VIP seats are back so I just paid
for the fucking lot before it cost me a laptop as well as my final remaining badly shredded nerve. The entire
'quick and easy online booking' process has taken well over an hour and a half and I'm 50 quid down despite
having 20 odd free cinema tickets I apparently can't fucking use. This film better be good. I'm off for a lie down.
