Hi everyone, I hope this is the right section to post into. I need to service my bike (I don't know how extensively) and I would like to have some recommendations for a good mechanic in Newcastle (who won't rip you off in the process).

Little explanation: my Yamaha Tracer 700 was stolen last May and on the 23rd of December the police found it and brought it to a storage place. I've just received pictures of it and it doesn't look too damaged, but regardless of how it looks like, I want to have it fully checked by a mechanic before I ride it again, to figure out what kind of damage the thieves have done exactly and to fix everything that needs fixing. Hence the question: any recommendation for a mechanic in Newcastle to do this check-up? Bonus points if they can go and get the bike at the storage place, but the good mechanic part is more important.

If the storage place is anything the arseholes down here

Something along that line, yes. For me it's 150/10. The annoying thing is that it was brought there on the 23rd of December and they wouldn't open again until the 28th, then it took them their sweet time (and 4 calls/email from me) to send me some pictures to start figuring out what to do. I'd have gone there myself to check, but I'm out of the country at the moment...

Cant help you with finding a decent Geordie mechanic so
if no one has first hand local experience of one
you'll have to Google/Yell etc it
