Quite frankly a torque wrench for that amount of money is pointless. I doubt it's even calibrated.

FFS, my halfords advanced was only £60 and has a lifetime warrenty and came with calibration certificate (handwritten actual values ona proper cert, not just a printed piece of crap.)

Yes, thank you. I actually want some of that sticky gum stuff for getting in nooks and crannies in the car. I also
like the idea of the oil pump too and a couple of extra cans of puncture repair stuff may be worth a punt since my car
doesn't have a spare. I'm patiently waiting for their seamless motorcycling socks to come back into stock. Not for
riding, but for general wear, my autistically sensitive feet love them, the last dozen pairs I bought have almost gone home.

I bought an oil pump a couple of years ago that was almost identical
to the one on the Lidls site so may well have been from Lidls
fuckin useless for draining oil from a sump
(It was more useful when emptying a faulty washing machine tho')
Flow rate stated to be 0.2l/min so 5 minutes a litre.
that would be nearly half an hour for the thing to drain my cars engine
IF it works as stated

Bought an Ultimate speed charger from Lidls years ago and I must admit it was pretty Ok for a good while
but now It's a bit suspect as the float/trickle voltage is now below 13v when I'd prefer it to be around 13.5V
It must be 10 years old now so for the low price I cant really complain
as the more expensive one may not last any better.

There isn't a well for one either. There's a small recess for a toolkit, hazard triangle, compressor and a can of
Mazda's own tyre gloop. I couldn't even get a space saver wheel in there. It's a 2018 Mazda 3 btw.

I don't think I could drive about like that... But then....the reality is I don't even remember the last time I had to change my wheel on the side of the road. Rolling Eyes

I wouldn't know where to start with that on the roadside. That would be an AA call for me.

This is exactly why I don't have recovery anymore and try to prepare myself as much as I can for fixing things myself.

Obviously exploding engines are a bit different/difficult and whilst AA have saved me a few times from big end blow outs, the short term expense of hiring a local recovery service is a much better deal than the yearly and never used subscription.

I don't know Dave? Me and the Mrs used to have a 2016 CX5 and I was very happy with that. Happy enough to look
for another Mazda when it was time to buy a car, it's only 120bhp and I don't rag it at all. It has just the right amount
of toys, 4 doors, a (quite rare for Mazda) pale stone leather interior which brightens up the cabin a lot and its started
every time I've pressed the button so far. For a 2.0 petrol engined car it's excellent on fuel. And it's well within the regulations
for Bristols new clean air (Tax) zone unlike my Transit. I did Rochester to Bristol on a 1/4 of its 48 litre tank last week keeping
to a steady 80mph on the cruise control most of the way. It covers all my requirements nicely, cheap road tax too. My bike is
for sodding about and scaring myself on. I just wanted a relatively new car because of the air tax zone here and cheap to
run and insure. It will need new tyres this year though. As for the other point about recovery I get AA for free with my
bank account, I got a separate 2 years full RAC cover from yamaha with the new bike. It's the same as what got me home
back when I ditched the MT09 at 2 mph Laughing

It saves a load of fuel having to humph a 'useless' spare around. (even when it's 80% air).
Like tankering fuel.
If you live near a petrol station, don't brim the tank at every fill.
Keep the car weight down.

(Tankering is when an aircraft carries extra fuel to save costs/time on the ground at certain destinations. But it is carefully calculated and adjusted to suit fuel prices. Of course planes buy more fuel than cars. Very Happy)
