Honda CBF Hornet 02 electrical problems

Hello from Sweden, Excuse my English as it's not my native language but I hope you'll understand.

So recently I've had some problems with my Hornet, it started off with my right blinker going very fast, then all of my lights shut off ( except for the headlight)

I got it working again when I switched out the fuse for the headlights but it stops working again when I drive it ( if it's idle it will work)

I've tried checking the cables and I've found no issue there, but I am not experienced in working on bikes.

Any help is very appreciated!

I've rebuilt a few hornets but the wiring always seems to be intact and working.
All I can think is that you've got an earth cable somewhere that's shorting on a metal component or maybe a wire is loose and is coming away from it's contact when you're on the move.

If you really struggle, a full wiring loom would be easily found on ebay, it'd be a job for an amateur, just take it slowly and take a lot of pictures as you remove the old one.

I'd start by measuring the voltage across the battery terminals when the engine is running. Lights on and off
I would expect to see no more than 14-14.5V
anything significantly higher say 15V or more would suggest either
a bad rectifier/regulator or a badly grounded one.

On a 20 year old bike I would not be surprised to find poor connections and grounding, so would check and clean as many as I could.

I had a similar problem with my bike last year. My lights would flicker on and off, and I couldn’t figure out what was going on. Turns out, it was a loose connection in the wiring harness that only showed up when the bike was moving, not when it was idle. I also learned that sometimes a fuse can look fine but still be faulty, so double-checking that might help.

If you're still stuck, I recommend reaching out to a local pro. I had a great experience with a utility pole contractor Ottawa, Kanata Utilities, who helped me with some electrical work. They were super helpful, and their advice on how to deal with wiring issues was spot on.
