I'm gonna hard disagree there. Customer support is whack, stock levels are a lie, they've let me down 3 times last year out of the 4 orders I did with them and I won't be using them again.
I haven't bought a laptop from Scan but I've done several desktop builds with components bought from them and their service has been good. ____________________ Yamaha XSR700, Honda Rebel,Yamaha DT175,Suzuki SV650 (loan)Fazer 600,Keeway Superlight 125,50cc turd scooter
What are you intending to play though, dedicated GPU or not, it's underpowered from actual GPUs.
i don`t play games .. the functionality is required for my mappin software .. which is graphics intense .. particular on high resolution when scrolling... the added cpu processing is most usefully welcome for its quickness.. ____________________ Whatever I post I have no citation and no intention of providing one..

would highly recommend.
Since when did Overclockers start doing customer service?
ive used Overclockers loads in the past. never had any issues and orders arrived really quick.
im sad to see that no longer seems to be the case.
i still like their forum though. ____________________ current bike Yamaha Thunderace.

Is it actually using the GPU as a processing affinity?
We don't know the spec of the current laptop. We don't know much about the requirements. It could be that the current one was cheap 7 years ago, and something upper mid range would do the job nicely for the next while.
I just feel if it's 'power' you need, a desktop cpu is going to outclass a laptop one.
already got one ... but it wont fit in me top box .. ____________________ Whatever I post I have no citation and no intention of providing one..

anyway .. already picked one out ..
the links provided gave a useful indication of what i could expect to pay .. in the end i found a local supplier .. who who stocks a lot of the same laptops ...
