I'm just sad a CBX has been destroyed to build that, and I like some chops. If he's used some generic Jap in line 4, fine. But a CBX Crying or Very sad

It's bewieldering why anyone whould want to put an engine that wide in something so low to the ground. It'll have a turning circle similar to a supertanker.

I'm gonna dissent on this one and say, for what it is (futuristic custom cruiser thing) I kind of like it. Execution looks good, it has nice clean lines, looks like someone has taken their time, and no obvious bodgery. It's interesting (CBX engine, SSSA, integrated 999 exhaust in the tail, completely custom frame, exhaust header art). You'd need to have a lot of faith in the frame builder though, you'd imagine the leverage (and flex) on the frame as it passes under the tank (with no cradle under the engine) is going to be hefty.

I mean, I wouldn't buy it, but if you wanted a unique/show bike or something, you could do worse. There's so much worse on this thread. It's got a front mudguard and everything!

All other aspects are hideous but the front forks are the final insult.

Now this one really takes the biscuit:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/275591089910

Absolutely hideous, and actually worth less in parts than the asking price for the whole thing.

At a guess, this is where he came unstuck:

Quote:
Will be supplied with a NOVA number and the USA Title to enable very easy age related UK road registration.

Erm, no.
Has to be a true reflection of the brand, have an unmodified frame, etc. And you have to get an owner's club letter to support your application for UK road registration (which that thing wouldn't get).

There's a short video posted under the ad of the engine sputtering away. If it rolls, this is a rolling nightmare.

At least it's an auction. £100 and it'd be worth breaking down for parts.

Suzuki SV 650 bobber special. Just completed. I build specials and this is number 4. Built from the ground up. Too much to list in the advert. If you’re genuinely interested, then call or message me and I’ll talk you through the build etc. It’s virtually a new bike.

So basically his idea of building a special (needs) bike, is chop the tail off, weld a bit of scafolding on, then chuck it in a vat of black paint

Saw that this morning and had a good laugh at the subframe he made Laughing .
Have a look at his other listings, guess the guy likes his SV's. This one was getting a lot of shit in one of the SV groups a few weeks ago for the stupid dual shock mod.

I really shouldn't look up this shit, it just vexes me
Ten fuckin grand!
Really? for what?
A bike that's neither fish nor fowl
A bike some twats invested far too much time and money in and trying to
claw it back.
What's it good for?
Sports? nope, touring? nope, commuting? nope.
Try riding that up the motorway in the pissing rain, see how that works out
for you.
It's a hipsters posing pouch nothing more.
the only thing in its favour is they havent fucked up the frame with a cowboy monoshock.

Don't know if that rear wheel quite matches the front... That's not to say anything about whether it's been trued. Ton of filler on the subframe? Anyway, the prize is quite amazing. I blame Youtube. To explain: there was no need for and no benefit in doing any of that work. It's like a 64kb demo written in BASIC. In 2023.

No speedo either and no MOT
They'll say 'classic innit mate dont need one'
but for 10 grand I reckon spending £30 for a tester to confirm
its roadworthy would show confidence
