There's a new beeping noise in my house Shocked
It's like a not-quite-intrusive double-beep Thinking but I can't place where it's coming from.

It's not the smoke alarm beep which has been going on since October and I barely notice it now (although everyone else does Laughing ) but which goes off about every ten minutes.

It's not the smart meter which is a little more high-pitched and insistent, goes off about every 2 minutes when the gas or electric need topping up.

And its definitely not the washing machine, as I haven't done a load of washing in over a week.

But this is a new one, it wasn't there when I left yesterday - but I haven't been able to work out what it is yet Brick Wall

Might be an almost-about-to-die phone battery, somewhere in a bag that I've thrown in a corner Rolling Eyes Hopefully it will stop soon...

It might be some idiot who lives next door.

Something electronic crying to be diddled with.

I hope its not some codger's panic alarm. Shocked

How long has it been going for?

Probably outside 'the golden hour' by now.

Yeah it seemed to stop yesterday so I reckon it was someone else's beep not mine.
Mr. Green Thumbs Up

Today I have mostly been listening to the neighbours celebrating the funeral of the old boy next door.

At least his coughing/groaning which I could hear through the wall has stopped, bless.

Maybe it was his carbon monoxide alarm bleeping....

I think I first heard him on one of the music reaction channels I watch. This one was my introduction to him. This guy has a story, but he's overflowing with a wild creative energy. Don't label him by this tune, he does everything. He's also part of a band called The Big Push. They cover everything from Bob Marley to Black Sabbath, Black Keys...definitely not confined by genre.
Look for some of their street performance videos too.
Rap, rock, folk styles, what would you call it...street poetry?

I think his opening singing puts a lot of people off and it's as far as they get, but that bit is short and it's worth sticking with it. 4 million views in a month should tell you something.
Also, with some of the things being discussed in the Men's Health thread, I thought some might find it helpful in gaining some perspective.
And it's not just about the music with this video. It's a piece of art. Acting, singing, guitar, cinematography - everything has been carefully thought about to produce something unique. One guy and an acoustic guitar holds your attention for over 9 minutes; that's not easy to do.

For anybody else wondering, don't watch it on the fly. Put 10 minutes aside sometime when you're just in an idle time, relaxing. Full screen, put it on headphones.
It's not the video's fault people think "I ain't got time...". We watch snippets of this and that, get into short response conversations on the internet, and it becomes habit. People don't read books anymore, people don't sit down to whole albums like Pink Floyd or whatever..."ain't got time for dat...". And what do they miss? They'll never know, but it's a lot. And I can be as guilty of it as anybody else.

Falco, the sound of musik album.

Yesterday, it was 25 years since Falco died, that Austrian rap/singer. I've got the album (CD) in my 1998 made car, so yesterday I went through Falco's greatest hits while driving to work and back and kept the CD in and listened to some of the songs today again.
