I think that rod in the video looks normal and won’t be secure until the clutch cover is in place. That can be tricky and you’ll need to make sure the slots align on it with the teeth on the push lever
My ‘03 R1 has a slightly different layout with the push lever (1 in Nobby’s diagram) the other way up (cable attachment at the bottom) but there’s a dot on the push lever assembly (26) which you have to line up with an arrow on the clutch cover. Probably the same on yours.
