China balloon: US shoots down airship over Atlantic

Finally Biden got the go-ahead from his paymasters Smile

I'm not sure I believe the whole "spying on nuclear installations" guff. Surely setting such surveillance spheres skyward would inevitably lead to a repeat of the U-2 incident.

The Chinese Japanese fire-bombed the US in WW2 with balloons. I'm sure the significance of that hasn't been lost.

That was the Japanese - they realised the jet stream could be used for balloon travel.

Things just got a bit weirder:

High-altitude object shot down off Alaska, US says

Quote:
According to ABC News, the object seemed to have no propulsion.

It seemed to be floating, "cylindrical and silver-ish grey", reports the network's chief global affairs correspondent Martha Raddatz, citing an unnamed US official.

Pentagon press secretary Brigadier General Pat Ryder said the object was "not similar in size or shape" to last week's Chinese balloon.

Sounds like some alien stopped for a piss and forgot to set the gravity brake Laughing

Another one: U.S. fighter jet shoots down object over Canada

'A U.S. F-22 fighter jet shot down an unidentified object over Canada on Saturday, the second such shootdown in as many days'...

Either Earth gets shit reviews on the galactic equivalent of Trip Advisor or the American public are being psychologically manipulated to view a war with the Chinese as desirable Thinking

Same advice as for everything else - invest in bricks and mortar. Don't bother with cash, or pensions - some future government will realise there's too much dependent population and rob the pot.
