Actually life expectancy ahas decreased slightly recently in the UK, which is why the governmenthas abandoned plans to increase the pension age early.

The stats might give an average life expectancy dropping from 81 to 80 (mostly due to Covid) but say nothing of the increased quality of life before that. I know plenty of people in their 60s outworking and even outthinking younger generations. Work ethic is one thing but you still have to be capable.
