See now. Telling them that is not the same thing as not telling them anything and ignoring their emails about smart meters.

You'll only draw attention to yourself. The email about the meter will be automated. The reply to it will not. By replying, you're putting yourself on their radar and forcing a human to become involved.

dave001 isn't the sharpest spoon in the drawer, especially when a camel is involved.

You were the one who came back on here after a couple of months and immediately attacked me before doing anything else.

Dance for me, bitch.

Buckwheat Risotto. I tried to make some and ended up with gruel.

That's it, keep dancing. Work it for me. Baby gets the special treat she likes in her pooper if she makes daddy happy.

Sounds nasty. I'd imagine you'd need to soak it more than cook it like a risotto.

I'm not sure why you'd even want to go there? I usually think of buckwheat as a GF thing but so is rice.

I'd imagine pearl barley would make an acceptable if very slow risotto.

Fell off my chair a week or so ago and banged my head on the wall, quite a lot harder than was probably good for me.
Still got a bit of a headache.
Fucking daft old biddy. Rolling Eyes

Should really go to A&E or Occ Health at the very least but: Jnr Docs strike.

So in the interim I have been lying awake at night with my arms at my side, and imagining myself being loaded into an MRI machine to try and combat the panic attack I am almost certain to have, if they send me for one.

*huff*

Also whilst having a Falling sort of week ...

I fell out with my mother BIG time.
Again.

Apparently I have abused her three times in the last 10 years
("elder abuse" = shouting at your narcissistic control freak mother and saying "fuck" many times) - and she is never going to speak to me ever again (again ... Laughing )

At first I was angry.
How very dare she Not Speak To Me - I wanted to Not Speak To Her first!!

I shall enjoy the peace and quiet whilst it lasts, or until she dies.

If I'm really unlucky she will live another 10-15 years and she won't be speaking to me for ages.
But if I get a break, she will die sooner and it will be less time that she is not speaking to me.
Phew!

You do know that you CAN choose your family Smile Just because they are blood related doesn't mean you have to have anything to do with them.

You can set Moonpig to send scheduled cards / gifts. That's the major communications dealt with right there.

How many fingers am I holding up?

I was in a panic about going in an MRI scanner years ago. I was shamed into getting in without making a fuss by the cheerful 5 year old just getting out as they wheel chaired me into the room.... the little shit bag.

Still hated it though, especially the music they piped in whilst shouting 'nearly done, just a bit longer' over and over. To this day hearing Islands In The Stream brings me out in a sweat.

I've had an MRI scan and it wasn't an issue for me at all.

I was more butthurt when I had a CT scan before because the recess in the machine wasn't that deep and my shoulders were rubbing up against it and it was uncomfortable as fuck.

I guess you and Kat have claustrophobia? Good luck with your scans!

Jezuss wept. I could have got through the course material in a few hours. Another day and half of it left! Plus most of the other atendees are bloody social workers. If you think the average MP is a waste of your taxes then wait until you have anything to do with social workers.

I used to be able to contribute to these training days, just sort of surf the scene, be sociable at least. Im quite shocked at how disengaged I am. I actually met a quite affable chap ive worked in the same organisation with twenty five years ago and couldn't be bothered going to lunch with. I just f#cked off to sit out the back of the building and eat my cheese sandwich on my own.

Trouble is the pace is aimed at the lowest common demoniator as they expect at least one dunce in each cohort.

I amuse myself at such courses by being acronym monitor. Any time someone mentions an acronym they haven't first defined, I ask what it means, even if I know full well.
