Scotch? I thought that was a no no word unless in relation to the drink. Or shold your moniker be a 'Fat Angry Scotchman'? Cool

Haha I use the term "Scotch Pie" to refer to this type of mince and onion pie:

https://www.pollokwilliamson.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/PollokWilliamson-OnionPie.jpg

and to differentiate it from the typical mince and onion pie like this:

https://culinaryginger.com/wp-content/uploads/Minced-Beef-and-Onion-Pies-recipe-10-.jpg

Traditionally, a Scotch Pie had spiced minced lamb (Earlier recipes used Mutton) filling in a hot water pastry.

And the Scotch word is just not used to refer to an individual from Scotland. Kicking may ensue.

For all other items it's fine.

Whiskey, Pies and Sellotape.

Spunked £280 (if you buy two you get a discount) on two of these. Not gonna lie I think they were insanely expensive but my boy fucking loves them so swings and roundabouts.

Two packets of tenderstem broccoli, a bag of italian salad leaves and a packet of cream cheese.
I had one packet of broccoli for my dinner, the next one maybe tomorrow, its my favourite veg. Wub

I was gonna have some of the salad with chicken breast strips in (home made) satay sauce that I made yesterday, but I was too knackered, so I just had the broccoli and the cream cheese with lashings of butter and a couple of grinds of black pepper.

It's great living on your own, you can eat food but "not proper meals" and nobody moans about it.

Must be something in the air, I've just had to replace mine. At least it did the civilised thing and started tripping the RCD rather than burning the house down.

Never use mine these days.

I had to put it up in the cupboard so it didn't tempt me to be lazy, too many carbs in toast Laughing I fuckn love toast and jam Wub

Out of sight, out of mind! It stays hidden up in the cupboard for months when I'm trying to be good.

Had to get it out on the weekend cos the Senior Consort was staying over, so we had cheesy toast and beans for brekky. Put it back away now. Fucking thing! I do love toast Wub got some sliced brioche loaf in the freezer, also hidden so I can't see it, in case of emergencies Laughing

My work mate and I got wronged by the rig electric-ian for making 'roasted cheese' (Cheese on Toast) in the canteen toaster.

100% My bad.
I showed my assistant, who was from India, how to make a pop-up Toaster into a Ghetto Grill.

Just turn it on its side and ramp up the timer.

Works a treat.

Just unplug it and put it in a cupboard in case someone tries to use it after some idiots have filled full of melted cheddar. Embarassed

I got told off for doing 2 croissants on one - place them on the slots, turn them every 20 seconds and you get a nice piping hot Croissant. Cheaper than the oven, and the work kitchen smells fantastic.

Apparently this is not considered a proper use of a toaster.

Tbh they're a great general food warmer if you don't have an oven and don't want a microwaved soggy mess.

Same..

The mega expensive Dualit that my mate gave me developed a sticky (clockwork) timer.. not good.

A new timer off ebay £14 about the same as the cheapest Argos 'Cookworks' Toaster... BUT the Cookworks has slots that are long enough to fully toast sliced bread, wide enough for crumpets and teacakes/crossed buns... The Dualit remains a triumph of form over function.. Wondering now whether to ebay it or give it back to mate.. Shhh!

The Queer Shaped aluminium radiator core in my BMW 1300 shat itsel a few years back.
Plugged and furred up AF due to salty cooncil roads.

The hoowur was hosed down religiously after winter runs and Scottoil 365 sploshed through the core too. That snakeoil is sposed to neutralise the effects of salt water on aluminium. Ha...

£450 trade.

I truly Wub broccoli.

My favourite is broccoli, cauliflower baked in cheddar cheese sauce (dollop of horse reddish in blend) with extra cheddar. On its own or with extra cheddar.

I've bought myself an office chair and a desk for my living room.

I'll have to get rid of the dining room table & chairs that I inherited from the ex-husb, no great loss as I rarely use it for dining on, anyway.
