The ecu blub may be blown so test that first
and test the voltage on that wire at switch on.
the wiring in the YBR headlamp is a cluttered feckin rats nest
and prone to poor connections and being cooked if some eejit has
fitted more than a 35/35W headlamp bulb.
I've had to sort out a few probs on the YBR I look after

I have the Hyenas YBR manual here and see there is a light green wire from the ECU to the eml

But not directly !
its also the diagnostic wire and goes to the 2 way Diag plug first and then on to the bulb so check that its not open circuit

Check ground continuity too
Every black wire should have say around 1ohm resistance to
battery neg and frame

Did it used to do the whole instrument panel check prior to the fuses blowing?

Borrow an ecu for the same bike from someone else and see if it works. Are you sure you have replace all the blown fuses?

Don't know anyone with a YBR!

We were all surprised to discover that the entire bike appears to have only the one fuse. Didn't believe it until I found the wiring diagram!

The YBR doesn't do anything other than briefly light the eml at switch on
( unless its flashign a fault code)
No fancy displays or needle sweeps, just the light
That and priming the fuel pump is the only indication its working.

Turns out it was the ECU, replacement from ebay has solved it.

Thanks again for everyone's input.

Hi, a quick update on my bike. After I did some more testing and ruled out a faulty fuel pump I settled on the culprit being the ECU to which I found a cheap used one listed on eBay for 14quid. Once I installed the ECU the bike fires up and now rides just fine. Doing so testing with my multimeter it also proves the original regrec is actually in working order and it was the battery and ECU the entire time. Having a spare regrec isnt a problem so I'm happy.

Thanks for the advice, help and time to everyone who chipped in. I appreciate it and am back on the road!

Cheers,

Samon

Well done.
So, we went from assuming a faulty fuel pump to an actual ECU fault and
happy inexpensive resolution.
Not bad
