Road tax that expires end of April... Fucksake! Reminder notice states £290 - actual price paid £320. Cheeky bastards.
Of course it's my diesel engined van that has seen this increase. Rolling Eyes That's about £200 more than I pay to insure it.

I waited for over 1 and a half hours before my actual work time (which is usual) to wait for a parking space for none to appear. I had to give up and park on the public highway in a 2 hour concession area. I returned to the car 2 hours later to find a parking ticket. Either they thought I parked the car at 8, or were being a bit early dishing them out for 11.

I hate driving to work, I only do it because my wife also works here and we drop the kid to nursery on the way. For all it seems I am the only one who seems to occupy more than one seat in a car at work! So, a fine. And then on the drive home I hear a funny squeaky knock sound- a spring has just broken on the car! Like I haven't got enough to do, and with no money to do it with... Rolling Eyes Laughing

Cut the other three springs down to the same size, for the lowered sporty look.
You're welcome Thumbs Up

Had to do some welding to fix a family members chair, took a break to check on food I had cooking and came back to find my gas bottle had emptied itself Mad Not even sure what happened, I was only gone 10 minutes.

My norweigan is deaf, hes only 9 months old but being white he sadly picked up the deaf trait.

He spooks easy, thats pretty much it. He goes outside on a lead because I feel bad keeping him in, but I can't let him roam alone because he is at risk.

We just stomp our feet when we walk near him so he is well aware of us, he'll be fine.

The cat's getting on a bit ~15yo so it might be age related but it's a sudden change so I'm taking him to see the vet next week.

I can't have plastic bags out otherwise my cat lays them out and pisses on them. Seems to do that I have no idea why cuz the cunt has a clean litter tray that he's not afraid to leave brown torpedoes in.

Weather.

Having an asbestos corrugated roof removed, blokes fit some poly sheet and when i say fit ..... lets just say it wasn't of an optimal tension.

Cue the heaviest rain we've had this year.

Ended up on the roof beams with the new roof panels dropping them into place and weighting them down with the old lead flashing whilst draining the inner poly sheeting one sodden bulge at a time.

Dunno whether i hate the weather more or the halfwitted dumbfcuks that fitted the polythene.

Elected to do it in shorts and T shirt as it was just so wet it was pointless even trying to stay dry either from rain or the sweat of irritation.

Off to find wine.

Why has it become so popular with the modern idiots? It was a niche joke competition untill quite recently and should be relegated back to obscurity.

I think the gay thing is the key to this, actually. At least in the UK - AFAIK it was always more popular in mainland Europe than here, where as you say, it always used to be a 'niche joke' thing. However, at some point, for some reason, it also became a huge 'gay' thing too, a long time ago. Back in those days it really wasn't cool to be gay - 'queer-bashing' was pretty much the order of the day - whereas nowadays the youth especially embrace all things gay. So I think the general population now wants to be seen to be not only tolerant of the gay, but be actively pro-gay. And loving the Eurovision Song Contest is a great way of achieving that.

UK pop music used to be inventive and we giggled at Euro-pop. Now the music charts are full of bland, MOR stuff whining about some misfortune and devoid of humour. Silly, cheery old Eurovision must be astounding to modern ears.

Fucking Lawrence keeps sitting on my keyboard!

He's taken to sleeping in my work zone and in the last month he has:
1. Stepped on the function key which switches off the mic so that whenever I answer it on the laptop, the Senior Consort sits there going "Can't hear you!" and pointing to his ear. Rolling Eyes There was a light under the function key but pressing it didn't fix the problem, I had to go into Sounds Troubleshooting.

2. Lay down on the appropriate keys to switch the CapsLock sound on, so that every time I hit CapsLock, it made a "beep!" noise, and every time I disengaged it, the damn thing made a different noise.

Rolling Eyes

Fortunately I managed to work out how to troubleshoot both problems (again, improved concentration) but its very annoying.

I've had to put the lid down every time I walk away from it, in case he takes up residence again, fucking furry little wanker, he's always lurking!
