Congrats mate, that's the hard test done now so next Thursday is basically ceremonial at this point Wink

I was supposed to crack on with it last year but got sidetracked with a new spaniel, then all of a sudden realised my theory will run out in august this year...

I'm having far too much fun on my 125 - maybe I should've bought a worse one Smile

Yes I really liked my 125 but after riding the bike school 600 it seems a bit obsolete now!

Ugh, horrible big fat fail during self navigation Crying or Very sad

Took a 3rd exit on two lane, four exit dual lane roundabout as a straight ahead in left lane, the exit was at about 1 o’clock and I made the wrong call, should have been right turn.

Only got 3 minors apart from that, the examiner was quite nice about it, said he was gutted to have to fail me as it was otherwise a pretty good ride but there you go, still have my car and A1 licence and will be having another go in 4 weeks.

That's a shame but it sounds like you should manage it on the second attempt.

Good luck on the re-test. That's the nice thing about driving licenses, you can keep trying as many times as needed. Onwards.

Unfortunate thats considered a fail. Can happen to anyone on unfamiliar roundabouts. As long as you safely managed the situation and didn't affect other road users, it would be good to have some flexibility in the rule.

I tried to book mine but theres no availability in my location between now and October according to the gov. booking site.

It was like that when I did my 125 mod 1 & 2 in 2021; I just kept randomly checking again every time I had a spare minute during the day and got lucky when some cancellations eventually popped up.

I found the mod 1 & 2 on A1 much less stressful as they were a lot cheaper (on my own bike) and if you fail you still get to ride with L plates.

Well had my retest in Cambridge this morning after 3 hours of sleep due to nerves.
Got back to the test centre and examiner asks “Have you ridden around here before?” to which I reply no, he then says “Well, that was a superb ride, I couldn’t find the slightest fault with anything you did, well done, you passed by the way!”
