I have a Honda ps125i and the front brake was sticking so I unbolted the 2 screws connecting the calliper to the moped and it’s just stuck on the disk. It’ll slide around the disc but won’t come off completely can someone please help thanks

If it moves around the disk but won't come off there must be a bit of a lip, i.e. the disk is quite worn down? That's something I'd expect from a car disk brake (given the ton or two of weight to stop) but on a scooter?! How many miles has this thing done?

Probably gonna need to jam a screwdriver in there to push the pistons back in so I would plan on getting some new pads and maybe a new disk. An extra step would be new piston seals and strip the whole lot down for a refurb. If the disk is lipped it doesn't sound like a bad investment to me.

It’s only done 20000 miles it’s because it’s been ridden a lot with sticking brakes aswell so brakes started smoking and now I’m trying to get calliper off. How can I get the pistons to get back because it’s quite a tight space

Belt it with a rubber mallet on the side of the calliper on the back of where the piston is (perpendicular to the disc.)

This should make big enough gap between the pad and the disc that you can lever the pad back with a screw driver.

As it sounds like disc, pad and seals (possibly even pistons) are already badly fucked you don't really have much to lose unless you are so heavy handed that you manage to actually break the calliper.
