Given it was a 1st iteration "I just pulled this out my ass" design I surprised it managed such high RPMs.

hope he carries on with this..

interesting to know what happened back in the day:
problem trying to be solved: air was stalled in the centre of the fan due to the hub, and for cpu's, this was the spot where cooling was most needed

the TMD fan tried to solve this, but had a habit of not starting...you can see in his video its similar for him too...takes more amps to just get going, but then can spin happily at lower amps. (this is like most things yes, however its well-remebered that folks with TMD fan often had no cooling as the fan didnt spin up by itself on occasion

over the cpu heat sink
