Had to ride to the office this morning because my laptop decided that sharepoint and excel shouldn't play nicely with each other.

On the plus side I now have a nice shiny new laptop.

Ah, I've got to fix my bike. I had a go at selling it at a price I thought was fair for a project. I'm not going to just give it away. However, no biters on the line. This will be a hell of a longwinded job on an uninspiring bike I don't even like very much.

To be fair they're trying to do something about it. They told me how they've been to their GP and been prescribed medication to control sweat. There's more than that to the problem though, they have a serious weight issue with an almost constant intake of junk food.

I thought I had hayfever but in fact its a cold.
Had to swig Lemsips just to get through the senior team meeting today.

I think I'll make a manflu case out of it: stay home in the morning and drag my sorry arse in for my new-finance-and-procurement-system training in the afternoon. Puke

That is FAR too technical a question for my current pathetic state of health.

I will barely use it anyway.
I only do venue bookings and refreshments for meetings, anyway.
Don't even need to order envelopes or copier paper these days, fucking result.

I had to actually raise a purchase order for booking a venue for an Awayday last month, I just asked the Finance EA to do it for me. Laughing I'm enjoying learning the art of delegation, even though she is willing to do it anyway, as it was always part of her job before I rocked up.

I've sneezed twelve times since I typed this. Fucking cold.

You want to try living near the bastard thing. Fortunately these days I live a good 20 miles away.

BBC sent 1000 "journalists" to Glastonbury on licence payer money. One thousand!!! If that's not a jolly I don't know
what is. I'll never pay for a TV licence. I'd rather sit in silence than finance an organisation that clearly hates me,
given that I'm a white, straight, indigenous male.

1,000 working on covering Glastonbury rather than 1,000 sent to the festival.

Still a complete piss take. Laughing

Is it just me, or are the big acts at Glastonbury becoming worse each year? When the best received one in 2023 was Rick Astley, surely it is time to redefine the event. It is no longer a music festival, rather it is a very expensive place to be seen by others who need to be seen, to a backdrop of old people trying to sing...

Stock, Aitken and Waterman shite aside, he's always had an absolute belter of a voice. His performance with The Blossoms doing Smiths covers was an eye opener. If only he'd joined The Smiths rather than that self absorbed wanker Morrisey...

@Diggs, There were plenty of really good quality acts over the weekend and plenty of choice for the punters across the stages. As for older acts, well they're still very popular and still making music which is what musicians live for.

I used to treat Glastonbury as an opportunity to catchup with mates and it wasn't unusual for me to not see a band the whole time.

There again, I hadn't bought a ticket most years I went.

You'd struggle to get in there now without a ticket. The fence is very impressive. No expense has been spared to
keep undesirables out. Somewhat ironic considering the "no borders" ethos of the bulk of the attendees. Thinking
