Hi there,

So I have recently purchased a cheap second hand bike, it has some issues, one of these are the storage comparment was no closing properly, upon inspection one of the parts snapped (pic 01) , other of the parts look to be fixed with some kind of putty (pic 02) , and does pic 03 look any good to you?

Motorcycle is db125t-30A Direct Bikes Scooter

I guess I have to buy a replacement for that latch , if not for the whole seat (I dont think so) , do you know where I can get spares for this in the UK? I am pretty new to this market.

Thank you

Is that an FZR1000?

Your best bet for getting parts for this thing (aside from eBay - plenty will have been broken up as they fail) is CMPO. If the bits you want aren't listed, drop them an email; they may still be able to help. I found them very helpful when I got lumbered with getting a mate's lad's off-brand Chinese shitter back on the road a while back.

do it look like this?

if so, what you have is probably a ZN125T-30a made by ZNEN/Zhongnen
it may also be a Sinnis Strada or other rebadged stuff

This is what he's got, if the description is accurate:

So, yeah, it'll most likely be available with lots of different names on the side. The thing I had to fix was a Jonway, and CMPO were very good in telling me what else the horror was sold as, so I was eventually able to get what I needed from them and a handy breaker on eBay.

Got to say if I was the OP I'd not be spending any money at all on something as trivial as a non-latching helmet locker. The replacement parts will be made of wind and piss just like the originals, and if they park it anywhere in the vicinity of scrotes they'll break in within seconds if they want to.

I agree in that most chinese scoots are built to a price not a standard
but if the OP's short of funds and needs it for work/college sorta thing
with some basic security of the storage and fuel tank,
I'd just go to a poundshop and get a hasp and staple and padlock
and screw/bolt/pop rivet that on the back.

As my helmet is probably worth more than the scoot I'd just take it with me.

Yeah thank you all guys, I didn't know all of these resources (CMPO , the Chinese Counterbrand etc...)

Its definitely almost worth more the Lead than the Motorcycle lol , but yeah I am a cheap fuck alright? haha.

I was just checking CMPO looking for a ZN125T-30a but closest model I get is ZN125T-F Firenze 125 , so I am going to go ahead with this.

I cant find any item that look like the mechanism I need , I am gonna further check and ask employees on CMPO but if anyone is able to find a video in youtube showing the repair I am needing would be great so I can identify the parts names and how it is been done.

ThanksSS

I wouldn't waste time and money searching for obscure parts on a chinese scoot as spares back up for this stuff is notoriously poor.
Engine or running parts are not so bad
you have chance as they're often based on common machinery.

I cleaned the pic up a bit try and see what the problem is
it appears to be a snapped shaft.

If it were here I'd remove all that putty as it's
doing nothing useful
remove the 4 clamp screws
clean up and weld the shaft back on
drill a 3mm hole in the hook
fit the return spring ( blue arrows) and reassemble
drill a 3mm hole in the back of the seat
get some 2.5-3mm steel wire and feed it in from
outside the back of seat
loop in on the hook ( Green)
make loop in the wire at the back and trim

Crude but effective and probably more reliable than it
was originally and only marginally less secure
