Well yes, that does sound like fun Shocked but precisely why I wouldn't give it to a garage to fuck up Laughing Is this someone a mate/acquaintance? The two of you attacking it would do a much better job.

Hedgehog house. The roof on the old one had been rebuilt and insulated once already, the house used and then abandoned, but finally the wood was rotten. The new one is a comparative fortress. I’ve stuffed it with hay and scattered more outside. I have at least two hedgehog visitors a night but they didn’t go inside last night. Takes a while. The old house was smaller and fitted under the bush to the right. This one is on the decking but I might move it to the end of the garden, albeit I won’t see it. I have a trail camera but even when that novelty wears off I just like the idea I’m helping them thrive, though I’m not entirely convinced that hedgehog numbers have declined. Shame I still haven’t seen young ones.

I was remarking the same thing to the wife recently. Seems to go in cycles: one year we're overflowing with the little buggers (one even lept into to the cat's biscuit bowl and try to eat his way out) and the next nothing Thinking

I'm off down the road for some Chinois Dance! I just fancy a bit of chinky curry sauce with chickeny balls and special-fry-rice.

But before that, I bought moar books, hoorah:
The next in the Cormoran Strike audiobook series, and
Two real books:
(i) a 50-years edition of a book about teenage drugtaking called Go Ask Alice, which I am reading for nostalgic purposes - back in the day as a teenager I never took drugs at all (too frit) but I read this book back then and thought Wow that's scary! ... and
(ii) a book about poisonous plants Mr. Green Thumbs Up

I really must visit the Alnwick poison garden Thinking

So this came today for the Rebel, much cheapness.

When they said stumpy I didn't realise just how stumpy. The bike sounds like a sewing machine at the moment. This should help with that. I'm not sure I like it, it's maybe too stumpy.

I've got something similar still sitting in the shed. Cheap but my Rebel sounded much nicer than with the stock can. If you don't like your one I could send it over to you... might need a spray with some stove paint though Smile

From my younger days when I thought getting CBD and THC tattoed on my arm was a good idea.

Now I take too much CBD/THC but am trying to stop. I really want to but can't ever seem to.

Maybe I'll get another tattoo someday.

A MIG welder, only a cheap one to have tinker with. Gonna see if I can fix the snapped bracket on my exhaust.

please show us your tool..

I've dicked about with mig and can almost weld thick stuff >2mm kinda OK (strong not pretty), thin stuff <=1mm is a PITA. lots of short bursts required to avoid burning through even on the low Amp settings.
I think it's nigh on impossible for the amateur to make a neat seam weld on thin material with MIG and in any case doing so will warp the material. You will also need a decent auto mask and lots of light onto teh target

Well, not that exact one but one identical. Cheaper to buy one of these and use it for a few weeks than rent.

Looking at nearly £1500 for 2 weeks rent! I figure I will keep it for a year during house renovation times and then get my money back or close to it.

I'll post something when it turns up. I also have an auto-darkening mask on order along with some long leather gloves and some clamps.

A battery isolator:

https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61p-gawc68L._AC_UF350,350_QL80_.jpg

Saves the battery while it's sitting about. Probably a lot more this winter for me Sad

It's not a switch as such so if you want to be a dick you can stick the bolt in your pocket and keep the scrotes busy for another 5 mins while they attempt to bypass it Smile
