Just took the new bike out for its first spin - she's a blast. Checked under seat and found slippery, soapy white foam on both terminals and around the area. Could this just be where it was foam/jet-washed prior to sale (plenty of gaps in compartment) or perhaps something they liberally apply to the terminals? I'll ask them Monday - it's not a big issue as the bike is running lovely.

If only I could get the seat back on properly! Smile

Because of the seat? Smile

Seriously though it is a little wobbly!

Sounds like lithium grease on the battery terminals, which is a good thing.

Agreed - but its a little bit all over - perhaps spray application. I cleaned it off all the plastics etc.

Alternatively, you have a spittlebug community squatting under your seat.

The dealer or OEM spray corrosion inhibitors on battery terminals.

Like as has been said, it's a grease and STOP USING THE BIKE IMMEDIATELY OR SOONER.

It's lube for when you pull over in a layby and there's a bunch of bikers in one piece leather suits all in the bushes together...
